Would, you are already a polyglot! Leaving my mother tongue aside, I speak English and Italian...I've been studying the latter since I started college (in fact, I'm studying it AT college, as I need 3 levels of a language, and I didn't want to sit for the exams in English and miss the opportunity of learning a new language), so I'm not at an advanced level, but I know most tenses, and with some more practice, I know I could get great results:) I studied French at college too, but I can barely speak it, as my teachers were so apathetic they didn't care if we learnt anything...they would hardly ever correct our phonetique, nor they would make us practice our listening comprehension, so basically I can only read French...since I started dating Sebastian I've been more in contact with the language (for instance, he read me an entire novel in French so I could get used to listen to it and make an effort to comprehend), and even though I admit being reluctant to retake it (mainly due to the constant frustration I've got to put up with when I deal with it), I'll eventually do it:)
I know what you mean about apathetic language teachers. It's also one of the reasons why my Italian is not great. But practice is the key to success :) French is such a beautiful language, it would be a pity if you lost it!
