Daniel and Vala = The best couple ever! PART 3

Part 3!  The final part is here!

The Quest part 2 shows the extent of Vala's feelings towards Daniel.
When he decides to download Merlin's knowledge into his brain, Vala is
the only one who is truly concerned for him.  She takes care of him when
the information gets to be too much, and she doesn't even want him to
go through with it at all.  She just wants her Daniel to be safe.  Poor
Vala, her whole face lights up when Daniel caresses her cheek, but then
she realizes that he is not himself, and her demeanor quickly changes.
Oh, and the heartbreaking look on her face when Cam drags her into the
gate, leaving Daniel behind?  She LOVES him!

Even
though Vala is certainly happy to get Daniel back in The Shroud, I'm
sure that it devastates her that Adria turned him into a Prior (not to
mention totally tried to steal him away!).  She can't even fully trust
the man that she loves until he proves that he was being truthful.
Daniel seems upset that Vala doesn't trust him.  He knows why she
doesn't, but it almost seems as if he feels betrayed by the one person
that he thought would trust him no matter what.  Oh, and on a side
note.  Adria tells Daniel that she can see what draws Vala's affection
towards him.  See?  Even Adria knows that Vala has true feelings for
Daniel!

When
Vala's lovely (note sarcasm) father comes to Earth, she doesn't want
anything to do with him.  However, Daniel tries to help Vala to see that
maybe Jacek just needs another chance.  I believe that Daniel did that
because he saw how Vala had changed for the better, and he wanted her to
be able to forgive her father.  Not overtly shippy, but nice
nonetheless.

In
Dominion, in Vala's false memories, we can see how desperate she is to
get Daniel to believe her.  And when they get Vala back, she is very
upset with Daniel, claiming to never want to talk to him again.  She
seems to feel betrayed by him, the man that she loves.  Later on, when
SG-1 and the Tok'ra discuss killing Adria, Daniel takes Vala aside and
tried to comfort her.  She puts up her usual defenses, but the way that
he tilts her chin towards his, and tries to make sure that she is okay
says so much.  He truly cares for her, and you can totally see it,
especially when Adria locks Vala in with her. Daniel basically throws
himself at the door trying to get to her.

Unending,
oh how you tear me apart every time that I watch you... First of all,
Daniel apparently lets Vala into his room (right before his rant), and
doesn't mind her sitting on his bed.  It's okay to talk about the
unfortunate demise of the Asgard, and to say that life is too short.
However, Vala takes that to heart.  Life IS too short and she wants to
spend it with Daniel.  She is broken and her past still threatens to
define her so she goes with what she knows best....seduction.  She
figures that that is the best way to show Daniel that she loves him and
wants to be with him.  Unfortunately, Daniel just takes it as if it were
still all just a game to her.  So he rejects her again.  However, he
doesn't just reject her, he stomps her fragile heart into the ground.
He still can't get past the Vala that he first met, the conniving
seductress who used sex as a weapon (or to cure boredom).  Daniel can't
handle the feelings that he has developed for Vala, so he lashes out at
her.  Yells and rants to the point that she breaks down into tears.  He
tells Vala that he would never want to be with her in a million years,
but what he means is that he doesn't want to be just her boy toy or a
game to her.  He is finally ready for a real relationship, but he
doesn't want to get his heart broken; he is afraid.  And all the while
that Daniel goes on and on, Vala just sits on his bed and cries, she
doesn't even defend herself against his accusations because she is too
heartbroken to do so.  And then Daniel finally realizes that he has gone
too far; that Vala really is hurt.  The tears that he sees on her face
and in her eyes shock him, but they also show him that he was wrong.
She DOES have serious feelings for him.  He seems to not quite know how
to apologize to her, so he kisses her.  He shows her without words that
he is sorry and that he actually does have feelings for her.  Vala seems
surprised at Daniel's actions at first, but then she happily kisses him
back.  He still has to make sure that she is serious, so he tells her
that she better not be messing with him.  Of course she isn't, so she
kisses him again and they spend the night together.
It wasn't just a
one night stand!  They spend FIFTY years together!  If that isn't love, I
don't know what is!  The scene that breaks my heart though is the one
where they are standing at the window right before the ship explodes.
When Daniel tells Vala that he wasn't with her because they were stuck
on the ship, and she tells him the same, my heart just breaks.  When
they don't remember being together, and Vala asks Teal'c about hooking
up with someone, I believe that she doesn't mention Daniel because she
is afraid that Teal'c will say no, and her heart wouldn't be able to
take that.

So
that's it, the reasons why Daniel and Vala are an amazing couple and I
will love them forever!  In my fantasy, post season 10 world, Daniel and
Vala get together, get married, have babies, and live happily ever
after!

Please let me know if you have any thoughts/feelings about this!  Thanks for reading!
