ADMIN: Leave of Absence
Hi everyone
Effective immediately, I'm taking a leave of absence from our great community due to health issues. While my life has been very busy as of late and I've been very much a silent moderator, I've always tried to keep an eye on what's going on and maintain our challenge months.
This past week, however, has been difficult as I contemplate my near future in terms of my health. Right now, I don't want to elaborate further because I simply don't know what is going on and won't for another week or so at least (after medical tests). I've been in contact with campylobacter, however, and she is fully aware of what I've got going on. Basically, I need to focus on ME. For those of you who know me, I'm even cutting back on how much politics I follow. No stress, no guilt, no aggravation, no being torn in several directions, no running round like crazy trying to do a million different things... I'm trying to rest as much as possible.
Next month, we'll celebrate another anniversary of daniel_vala. We've survived show cancellations, rumours of reboots minus Vala, DDOS attacks aimed at LJ and spam comments. Letting go of this community I've created is difficult because it means ceding control of 'my baby' to someone else. I know, however, that I'm leaving the community in great hands while I'm gone and I'm sure whatever direction campylobacter takes it in, it'll be positive. I also know you will all continue to support her ;)
I do hope to return at some point, and I'm hoping it's sooner rather than later. If it isn't, I shall probably go NUTS!
