Standing in the warehouse surrounded by art and wealth, his blood ran cold with shame.
The cutting remarks he made yesterday after the warehouse explosion had indeed hurt to the core. He knew it the moment he opened the unassuming envelope containing the address to this place, along with the note which simply states:
“You may not believe me, but I have never lied to you.”
Looking around, he felt like shit. He had wounded and stung appallingly with his words. The riches he found himself enclosed in, could not compare with the greatest treasure he has lost, Neal’s friendship.
