So, its the big one tonight. The decider. Do or die, McClaren is taking a day trip to the crunch (we all know he wouldn't last longer then a week at the crunch) and I am undecided as to what result I want. Obviously Number one choice is a hammering by England on the hapless Croatia (nothing wrong with a bit of optimism). Walcott scores his first competetive hat-trick and in all the jubilation Strevie Mac has a heart attack and is replaced by, well, anyone. Scenario 2; England put on the performance that everyone is expecting from the team and we are humiliated, don't qualify for the finals and McClaren is lynched by the players of both sides as he tries to make his escape. Scenario 3; we play ok, get the draw and are stuck with McClaren until we fail to progress past the group stages. Finally, scenario 4; we get the draw but play like shit, McClaren is shot by David Davies and a new guy comes into the role and wins us the competion.
I have just checked the team news and the sight of Carson in goal is not one I want to see. This is not the time to give someone their second cap, yeah robbo has been ballsing things up recently but he is still a quality keeper and in such a crucial game I think it is a mistake to leave out experience. Except when its beckham, Wright-Phillips has been amazing this season and deffinitely desrves his spot ahead of David off-white balls Beckham. Looking further down the team news has also led to teh fear. That back 4 is not great to say the least. Lescott, Richards, Bridge and Campbell. Ignoring Richards that is one of the worst deffensive line ups I have seen for England, suprised phil neville isn't mongst them. Scenario 2 is looking more and more likely but I have a feeling 3 is going to be the closest.
Away from football I have mostly been shooting a Variety of A rabs and rooskies in Call of Duty 4, this is a nice change to my usual fave past time of shooting Nazis but look forward to swithching back to killing pure blood facists in the near future. Really looking forward to seeing The Darjeeling Ltd., hope to god that his whole fixation with strange families that Anderson has doesn't seem tired in this film but seeing as i would enjoy watching Owen Wilson watching paint dry I am sure it will be at least worth the entrance fee and some popcorn.
