This hostel is even better: I'm in a castle that used to belong to a king! It's very opulent, and our room is way up in the clock tower, so we can see for miles.
All the statues are in the entrance hall: most are nude. :) You wouldn't find that in the States! In their time, being pale was in fashion--they're made of white stone. They also have the standard fare woman lying naked on couch in four-foot high above the main staircase glory, and then some whoops-my-top-fell-off and the artist decided to paint it across the hall for good measure.
The real girls (the guests) are quite cute too :) Youth hostels are much more fun than hotels, you can be more social and meet people.
It's 11:30 (still light outside). Time to go to bed.
