EDIT 4:05PM DECEMBER 3RD

Well it came and went, so quickly too! But it was so much fun! These last 2 days have really been the time of my life; not only did I make some new friends but yesterday I FINALLY got to really celebrate my 18th birthday! Nothing like last year!

Even though I was technically "alone" for this con, at the same time I wasn't. Although I chose to go alone without my former BFF, I never had a short supply of people to hang out with. Before all the Kaya-related events on Friday, I hung out with some cosplay friends I had met online who also lived in the same state as me. I had known them from Otakon this year and they are pretty cool people. Then I met these beautiful girls both cosplaying as Chocolat PV Kaya (one was the light version the other was the black version). On Saturday I met many other Kaya fans and we all became friends. It made me so happy that I finally had other people to hang out with and laugh with after being alone for so long.

I had been debating going to this con for so long and I'm glad that I did! My decision to go payed off! :-)

On both Friday and Saturday I finally got to meet my inspiration, Kaya-san! From the moment I saw him at the opening ceremonies that afternoon, my heart just wouldn't stay still. I have been looking up to this beautiful person for so long and it just seemed too good to be true that I was finally going to see him! It was amazing!

I actually started the day off very late because of a problem with one of my outfits. Origionally, I had planned to wear my new dark pink wa-lolita outfit with handmade kanzashi. But while getting dressed one of my dumbass brothers spilled soda on it! With no time to wash it, I just opted for one of my traditional yukatas. I was feeling kinda down about it at first but my mood soon improved when I finally got to the hotel and people started to complement me on it. I had to make a quick trip to the florist before finally getting on my way to the con, and I litterally got there at the EXACT time the opening ceremonies started and fourtenently I did not miss Kaya! That brightened my mood 100%! Kaya was the last person to me introduced after a bang called Quaff (They seem pretty cool and cute but I had other things on my mind) He was introduced by a man with a loud megaphone, I remember him from my VERY BRIEF trip to AUSA in 2008. He was in charge of guest relations and security for the Versailles related events.

Anyway. So Kaya went on about his show the next day and his translator interpreted the words back to us. I was at the very far left of the stage and I DID manage to snap afew pics without the notice of Megaphone Man. Sadly when I went to download them, they all came out blurry as shit! WHY!!!!!!!! *tear*

Afterward, I browsed the dealers room (were I ran into these amazing Versailles cosplay trio, including a Jasmine You cosplayer! They looked amazing!) and then joined these girls in a random caramelldansen and that was fun! Then they helped me practice some of my Japanese words. I has having such a nice time I ALMOST forgot that it was now time for me to line up for Kaya's first autograph session. And so I bidded them goodbye and went off to the moment I had been waiting for for nearly 6 months.

I made awesome timing, Kaya hadn't even arrived yet when I came! So I lined up, holding my red rose and Gothic Lolita Bible so tight I feared I might crush them. Finally, I was in seeing distance of the table were Kaya (dressed in his beautiful Ophelia dress!) was with some of his dancers, staff and the translator (who is sooo sweet BTW!) "Oh my gawd!!!" I couldn't help but gasping. Megaphone Man arrived and told us that there would be absolutely NO pictures or video or they would take our cameras and eat them (lmao not really but that's the vibe I got). I thought to myself, damnit that sucks! (They let us take pics with Kaya @ PMX!) But I got over that quickly.

In the weeks before AUSA, I had been studying and practicing Japanese words and phrases to say to Kaya when the time came, as I mentioned before I was practicing them all the way up until before I lined up.

But when it came time for my turn and he first smiled at me, all I could say was "Hi Kaya-san!", hiding my face with my hand. I was so dazzled by seeing him up close that I became absolutely tongue tied!! But he continued to smile and even called me "kawaii". I swear it was a miracle that my heart was still beating after that, but I'm sure I was blushing! Kaya signed for me a beautiful picture of him in his red rose outfit that was in one of my Gothic and Lolita bibles. And then I presented him with the single red rose I had brought with me for that purpose, he seemed to really like it cause he gasped in mock shock and grinned and said "thank you so much". By this time I was too dazzled to even say something in English so I just smiled and nodded my head. But I was determined to say something to him tomorrow!

I then realized that one of his staff was taping the whole thing!!! OMG! I'm sure my face was red and I had the most embarrassing smile on my face! GAWD I FAIL!!!!! XD XD XD XD XD

Although I would have loved nothing more than to stay there and watch him sign autographs there was also a Q&A panel with him and I had to go quickly back downstairs to line up for it. OMG it was so much fun! Kaya is so sweet and funny and sooooooo kawaii!!! And I just adore his laugh! OMG! (and did any1 else besides me notice how his water bottle matched his outfit perfectly?!)

I was so nervous when it came time for me to ask a question that it was really all I could do to keep from crying, I was so overwhelmed. I told Kaya that he was my favorite musician and my inspiration and I asked what was his favorite song of his to perform live or in general. He smiled and answered that he loved the song Glitter Arch (Me too!) but his favorite song to perform is "Kugutsu"!!!

I had originally planned to ask him what does true elegance and beauty mean to him, but I was already close to breaking down in tears that I opted for the most simple question that came to mind, BAKA I AM! BAKA! BAKA! BAKA!!!!!

And since I had nothing to do before the rave I decided to check out the quaff concert. They seem pretty cool although I wish I could have gone to their Q&A and autograph sessions. Oh well.

Yesterday, Saturday, was the best day of the 2 days and the actual day of his concert! I can't even begin to put into words how amazing it was! Kaya and his dancers were beautiful, sexy, delightful, elegant, and of course soooooooo kawaii!!! I had spent most of the day by myself checking out panels and stocking up on Kaya stuff for him to sign. It was my plan to go to the masquerade but about 10 minutes after getting in line I realized that I had lost my camera! It had fell out of one of my plastic bags that I was carrying my kaya stuff in. I did manage to find it but by that time the line for the masquerade was way too long for me and I decided it was not worth it. But in a way it was kind of a blessing in disguise because of what happened next.

My former BFF called, she was sick and I guess she didn't think it was right that I was at AUSA anyway and having fun (even though we were already no longer friends!) So she got into all this depressing shit trying to make me feel down but I was having none of it. I hung up but then I met this group of girls who were also big Kaya fans and were waiting like me for the con staff to start lining up people for his concert. They were so nice and it was good to pass the time with them (*cough cough* 4 FUCKING HOURS! *cough cough*) It was with them that I celebrated my birthday.

To pass the time we played this game with the 7 picture photo set I had purchased. The photo set included 2 pics of Kaya (chanson and ophelia) and one of each of his dancers, Yui, Ryoshin, Hiroyuki, Ayano, and Kitty. I would shuffle them up and put them face down and we all had to guess which picture was which, usually failing epically! But it was so much fun! The man with the megaphone reappeared, when I told him it was my birthday, he looked like he was about to hit me 18 times! LMAO! And then I told him how old I was and he was like "damn so it's illegal now!" haha Finally, the line was formed and we finally got in for the concert!!! We were sooooo close too (like 2nd row center close! Kaya and his dancers saw me and everything)! It was amazing!

The stage was set for the most amazing night of my life. I took out my pink Kaya fan, got as close to the stage as I could and then we all began to scream and chant Kaya's name.

Megaphone Man appeared again and reminded us once again that we could NOT take pics or video and if we did we would be kicked out. He then told us to keep the screaming mellow (COME ON! LIKE THAT'S EVEN POSSIBLE WITH KAYA-SAN!) and to enjoy the melodies of Kaya, like hell I did! The lights dimmed down and the music began, I swear that for a moment my heart stopped! We all screamed and then Ayano and Kitty appeared and dazzled us with amazing choreography before Kaya finally appeared and the screaming increased at eardrum ringing levels. They started the show out with "Kaleidoscope".

OMFG! Saying that the concert was awesome would be an absolute insult! It was beyond awesome! Beyond any concert experience I had ever had! Kaya was amazing, the dancers were fantastic, and the costumes were gorgeous! Best of all, he performed ALL my favorite songs of his! Between Kaya's costume changes, the dancers performed incredible routines to awesome techno remixes of his songs Chocolat and Silvery Dark, I really hope these songs are released cause they would make awesome rave songs! The dancers themselves were awesome, especially Yui-san (SEXY!!!!!), Ayano-san (so beautiful she is!) and Hiroyuki-san (he scares me but in a good way *nosebleed*) They are my favs. It must really take a lot of training and energy to pull that off!

Kaya changed into 4 costumes during the show. He first came out in his beautiful black Ophelia dress. The second costume was his gorgeous pink/purple wa-lolita dress from the Ouka poster and CD jacket. The third (and best) was a very stunning gothic prince style outfit! (he looked like the most sexy aristocratic vampire! I would go and say just like Kamijo but Kamijo-san in in a league all his own! XD) I must say my favorite costume was the prince-style outfit! Although Kaya looks incredibly beautiful as a woman, he is indescribably sexy as a man!

It should also me noted that at some points during the show, Kaya would very seductively lift the skirt-part of his dress outfits not too much but just so, showing off his very sexy legs! (I later found out he lifted his skirt up enough to see his silver panties but I could not see them cause I was already dazzled enough by his legs! *tear*) I swear Kaya is such a sexual person and I couldn't help but nosebleed when he did this! I was literally fighting a violent urge to NOT whip out my camera and get a picture of those luscious legs, but I didn't cause the security WERE looking to make sure no one broke that rule and I actually wanted to see the rest of the concert!

The best was when he performed "Masquerade" "Kagami Oni" "Epicurean" "Kasha" "Rose Jail" and "Kugutsu"! Masquerade was without a doubt a breeding ground for fangirls as Yui, Ryoshin, and Hirokyui looked soooooooo divinely sexy in their costumes! Ayano and Kitty looked beautiful in theirs too! Kaya and his dancers teased us throughout the performance with amazingly erotic moves that made my heart skip several beats! The girls next to me were screaming so loud in my ear when one of the dancers (IDK if if was Yui or another one) had his head all in Kaya-san's crotch Though I can't complain cause I was screaming too! Their movements were just so amazing and sexy and that's not even one of my most favorite Kaya songs! It is now! XD

Kagami Oni is my favorite song off his Japanese gothic mini album so I was loving it when he performed that! Ayano and Kitty looked so lovely in their kimono-styled outfits and complemented Kaya's wa-lolita outfit perfectly! I was simply mesmerized by Kaya-san and when he lifted his skirt again my mesmerized state just increased! And I couldn't help but dance along with them, moving my hands and arms at the exact time they were! (I think Kaya or Ayano saw me doing this)

I can see why Kaya enjoys performing Kugutsu on stage the most. From the moment his male dancers appeared on stage (in very hot hakama pants and kimono-tops to boot!) and Kaya began the song with a spine-tingling, breath-robbing, operatic scream, they just put so much power and eroticism into that performance that I had to hold my hand to my heart to make it stop beating so fast. It was beyond incredible and the dance moves were just soooooooooooo smexy! Thank God I was so close to the stage!

Epicurean is my favorite Kaya song to dance to and the moment Kaya announced that was the next song, I quickly whipped out my fan and prepared to dance. Though, I found it hard to dance AND keep my eye on Kaya so for that moment, I shifted my attention to Yui whom was closest to my eye range, GAWD that man is sexy! When the song was over, my feet were just beginning to ache but I paid it no mind, yet.

Of course I went crazy when the intro to Rose Jail came on, and Kaya wearing his sexy prince outfit while singling this perfectly erotic song just made my heart race all the more!!! I was kind of hoping he might bite some1's hand like he did in the salon de chocolat performace but he did not. HE DID KISS SOMEONE'S HAD THOUGH!!! AAAAAHHHH WHY WAS IT NOT ME?! After the song was over, my throat was killing me and I was hoarse for the rest of the night. But it was well worth it cause that performance had to be for me the highlight of the night!

If Rose Jail was the one that killed my voice, than Kasha had to be the one what killed my feet! I was wearing these chunky-high-heeled mary janes that although helped me see, were beginning to really hurt my feet by the time Kaya performed this song. But I kept them on for this performance, and it was so wonderful. Kaya just had so much energy and it helped me keep my energy throughout the song. Whenever Kaya would call out "jump!" I jumped up as high as I could. It was amazing and even afterward my feet ached with the most pleasant fatigue. (even though I took them off as soon as the song was done! which sadly cost me some seeing advantage)

When the main part of the show was over, Kaya left the stage for afew minutes. We immediately began chanting for an encore, and we got what we wanted! For the encore, he performed "Chocolat". It was amazing and the dancers looked so kawaii/kakoii in their schoolgirl/boy-like outfits! When Kaya let us sing together with him, I almost felt like crying. It was just a moment of perfect unity between us and him as he let us share that part of the song with him. And I could see the happiness and glee on his face when he realized that we all knew the lyrics perfectly. Did I imagine it or did his eyes look like they were about to water up?? Oh my sweet Kaya-san! ^_^

I expected that to be the last but then he surprised us (well me at least) with a final song. This time it was my favorite "Glitter Arch"! That brought us all to the peak of our happiness and we all moved our hands with him to the music of this uplifting song. Afterward Kaya introduced each of his dancers one by one. If my voice had at all begun to recover after the Kasha and Rose Jail performances, it just became hoarse again the moment he introduced Hiroyuki-san and if I STILL had ANY voice left after that, it completely died when he introduced Yui-san!!!!!! I don't usually curse but GAWD FUCKING DAMNIT! My throat was so sore, the first thing I did when I got out was make a bee-line for the nearest water-cooler (fourtenently part of my voice did recover enough in time for the autograph session). After he introduced everyone he went off stage but not before smiling and waving to all of us and saying "I love you!" That melted my heart to much!

Also, I loved it when he talked between songs, though he spoke mostly Japanese with a little english here and there. And I loved when he laughed and smiled, Kaya is just so adorable and sweet! It was a wonderful concert and everything was so perfect. Everyone was there for Kaya and the happiness we got from seeing him perform and the joy Kaya got from us cheering him on (along with the party-like atmosphere already in place) all mixed together to form the perfect atmosphere for having the time of my life. It was like the most perfect dream.

But like all dreams, I had to wake up and the concert had to end. Megaphone Man returned to the stage saying "God, have you ever met a guy with THAT much energy?!" haha That's because NO ONES energy and stage presence can match with Kaya's! I was a little sad when we had to leave the ballroom, I really just wanted to linger in that moment, to live in this perfect dream for as long as I could.

But that sadness was marred when I realized there was going to be ANOTHER autograph session when the concert was done. This session had to be the best one of the weekend but also the one with the most failures on my part! XD My original plan was to have him sign my Ophelia poster but after carrying it in my bag all day and taking it with me to the concert, my poor poster got crinkled up pretty badly. I have since managed to get it smooth again but at the time me and my friends determined it was in no position to get signed (FAIL) and I opted for my June 2008 Cure magazine and my photo set pics instead.

WARNING! MAJOR EPIC FAILURES AHEAD!!!

One of the girls with us had gone around the line to were Kaya was and told us that his dancers were with him too! That made me so excited cause I wanted to get my dancer pics signed also. But the moment we turned the corner and I could see them all in perfect sight, my heart almost stopped and once again I found myself too dazzled to say a thing! The first one I met was Yui, I felt myself blush so hard that I hid my face with my magazine and all I could say was "Konichiwa Yui-san" (it was past midnight so I was supposed to say KOMBAWA! FAIL!). And the I mumbled "kakoii desu" and he heard me!!!!! He smiled and laughed though. ONCE AGAIN I FAILED!!!!! Then I met Ayano and Kitty, they were very sweet (Ayano shook my hand and said something but her Japanese was too fast and slipped my ear, I think it was that she saw me dancing to Kagami Oni and mouthing the words but gawd my mind was just so frazzled at the moment I really have no clue! I FAILED AGAIN. She did tell me thank you for coming to the concert, she's so sweet); and then it was my turn with Hirokyui, he made the shape of a heart with his hands and called me "kawaii". I laughed and smiled and said "arigatou" (another miracle my heart was still beating but I'm sure I was blushing up a storm! FAIL!!)

It was now Kaya's turn. But not before totally failing AGAIN by very nearly tripping over my own feet! (DAMN YOU 5 INCH PLATFORM SHOES! DAMN YOU!) I was so dazzled and too busy squeeing and failing that I wasn't even paying attention. Luckily I don't think any1 except my friend noticed. And in the end I DIDN'T get my dancer pics signed (until next time...) geez guys, BE GENTLE WITH YOUR EVER FRAZZLED FANGIRLS! PLEASE!!! >_<

Okay enough of my fangirl failures, back to Kaya! XD

He smiled at me again and I gave him the pictures I wanted him to sign. I said my name was Jasmine (I did manage to say "Jasmine-des") and that today was my birthday, the translator interpreted my words back to him. Kaya looked up at me with a big smile (looking straight in my eyes!) and said "happy birthday Jasmine", oh it just made me melt inside how he said my name! In addition to signing my ophelia and chanson pictures, he also wrote "happy birthday jasmine 11/21/09 love Kaya!" in my magazine! That was so kind of him and I will treasure it forever. Truly the best gift I could ever receive! I mumbled "arigatou Kaya-san" (again, WHY was my heart still beating?!) and went back to my friends who were waiting to the side for me. YAYNESS!!! I DIDN'T FAIL!

We waited around for afew minutes watching Kaya-san sign autographs. (The Versailles trio returned and the Kamijo cosplayer gave Kaya a rose! OMG! IT WAS SO KAWAII!!!) Then when it was time for him to leave we all bowed and said "Arigatou Kaya-san. Synorara!" Kaya smiled at us and waved goodbye as he left with his dancers. Then I met up with MORE Kaya fans! They were also so nice and they screamed when they saw that Kaya had written for me in my magazine. It was the perfect day! Both days were! I am sad though that now AUSA is over but I know I will have the memories of these days in my heart forever and I will never forget. I have been to many cons before but this had to be the best one ever!
