Title: Flying Home
Fandom: Wicked
Characters: Fiyero Tiggular
Claim: Fiyero Tiggular
Prompt: 30 - Death
Word Count: 139
Rating: PG
Summary: He knew he wouldn’t survive to see nightfall.
Author's Notes: Title and lyrics at the beginning come from the song “Flying Home” in Songs for a New World by Jason Robert Brown.

The angels called you to leave this land.
My work is finished, my work is finished, the angels command.
I’ll come to join you, reach out your hand.
And I’ll be flying home, straight into your arms.
And I’ll be flying home.
Carry me on, carry me on, and I’m flying home.

He could feel it. He was too battered, too bloodied, too broken to survive for much longer. He knew he wouldn’t survive to see nightfall, much less see Elphaba’s beautiful face again.

He was cold. If his wounds didn’t kill him, the dropping temperature would.

He wondered if Elphaba would know what happened to him. If she would spend the rest of her life wondering what fate had befallen him. He wondered if his parents would know. If all of Oz would see him as a dead traitor or if the Wizard would make him into a martyr so they would just loathe their Wicked Witch of the West even more.

It was getting colder and his head kept getting heavier. He looked down to see the blood soaked ground before closing his eyes and feeling himself rise up.

Title: O Christmas Tree!
Fandom: Wicked
Characters: Fiyero Tiggular and Elphaba Thropp
Claim: Fiyero Tiggular
Prompt: 92 - Christmas
Word Count: 165
Rating: G
Summary: “I look like a Christmas tree.”
Author's Notes: This is part of my "Wicked Ones" series, which is basically Wicked set in the real world.

“I look like a Christmas tree.”

Fiyero turned to see his girlfriend standing in the doorway wearing a bright sweater that was covered in sparkles, “So my mom gave you a sweater?”

“She said it would ‘look good with my unusual complexion.’ If by that, she meant that it makes me look like an overly decorated Christmas tree, then yes, it does,” Elphaba looked at the pink and gold fabric covering her upper half and groaned, “You know, there’s a reason I stick with black.”

“You could always give it to Glinda,” Fiyero said with a slight shrug.

“And here I thought you were going to defend your mother’s taste in clothes,” Elphaba said with a chuckle.

“It’s not her taste in clothes that’s the problem here. It’s what she thinks would look good on other people,” Fiyero said with a smirk, “Trust me on this. Anyway, I’m glad you’re the one who got an ugly sweater this year.”

“Why?”

“Because it means I won’t.”

Title: This Is Halloween

Characters: Fiyero Tiggular and Elphaba Thropp
Claim: Fiyero Tiggular
Prompt: 96- Writer’s Choice (Halloween)
Word Count: 178
Rating: PG
Summary: “Got kicked out because Galinda’s having costume troubles?”
Author's Notes: Part of my “Wicked Ones” series.

“What’s wrong with her?”

Elphaba turned to look at the man standing next to her outside her dorm, “What would make you think something’s wrong with Galinda?”

Fiyero smirked, “You’re not hiding out in your room.”

“Maybe I wanted to come outside. Maybe I just wanted some fresh air. Maybe I-“

“Got kicked out because Galinda’s having costume troubles?”

“Make up troubles,” Elphaba said with a sigh.

Fiyero laughed, revealing the fangs he was wearing for his costume as he looked at the oversized wings and somewhat revealing brown dress Elphaba was wearing, “Looks like you didn’t have any problems.”

“Of course not. I don’t have to worry about make up,” she said, making sure her green skin was evident.

“Right. So what are you supposed to be anyway?”

“A wood nymph.”

Fiyero smiled, “So that’s why you’re actually showing skin!”

“Trust me, I didn’t want to,” Elphaba said, annoyed, “Galinda hid my original costume and gave me this.”

“And your original costume was…?”

“A witch.”

“Trust me, this works better for you,” Fiyero said with a grin.
