Barnes & Noble employees must be stupid or something. Or unable to comprehend. Let's get this:
Eclipse is the much awaited third novel in Stephenie Meyer's Twilight-series. Fans recently gathered together in Phoenix to hear the author read them the first chapter of this new book, coming from as far as Canada and England. The 1,000 tickets sold out within 8 hours, leaving many without tickets. Thousands more couldn't afford to get to Phoenix and hosted satallite Eclispe proms in their own towns.
The woman at Barnes & Noble, after I explained all of this to her, told me that they could have a midnight release party for Eclipse AT THE END OF AUGUST. What the hell? I mean, come on. Even funnier, a friend of mine was told by the lady at her Barnes & Noble that they could have a midnight release party at the end of SEPTEMBER. At which point every diehard Twilight fan will have read the book no less than 3 times.
I mean, honestly. Ok, so, you're throwing a huge party for Harry Potter and don't give a shit about Eclipse. That's ok, that's your decision. Don't insult Twilight fans though, sheesh.
dumb people,
