Obsessed, yes?
Last April when I picked up Twilight in the library and decided to read it, I never once thought I'd spend this much money on it or be this obsessed. Like, seriously. I own two copies of Twilight and one of New Moon ($30), have purchased 3 copies of Twilight to give away (another $30), just put in an order for the audiobooks of Twilight and New Moon ($65), and will be going to Nashville to meet Stephenie Meyer and co in November, which we're looking at flying ($222 roundtrip for myself, plus hotel stay for three nights, a rental car, etc...). Heck, while we're at it you can add the $10 domain name (volturi.org), the hosting ($200 for two years, though that hosts more than just Volturi.org, maybe $40 is a reasonable amount to say?), and even the $.63 postage fee to send Elizabeth a letter (which she responded too, omgyaysquee!). Oh, and the tee shirts. That's just at $3 now but I'm going to buy another for $7 so that's $10.
So. By Christmas I'll have easily spent $500+ on a fandom composed of two books. That's quite a feat when you think about it.
