Politics. Grr
Federal government election last weekend, local government election this weekend. Ugh! Both times I had to vote backwards -- from last to first because there were people I abhorred but no-one I liked. It was a bit awkward this weekend as we trialled electronic voting which forces you to vote from #1. Otoh, it meant that my girl got to help me choose 'cause it was on a big screen rather than a tiny paper :)
The federal election was a pain -- we've got the same misogynistic, patronising, brown-nosing, warmongering government as before, but there really wasn't a viable opposition and no matter how hard I wish, my one little independent-type vote doesn't really count for much.
I hold out no hopes for change in the local gov either. Oh well, at least our school P&C makes money from the sausage sizzles.
Finally got "Book of the Dead" which I very much enjoyed; a nice meaty novel with plots and sub plots and interesting original characters and nifty Wes-background. Much better than some of the other Angel tie-in novels.
