1. art alexakis:
   yes, art alexakis....one of my favorite people in this entire world. i don't care what people say; he's a good singer and writer (not amazing, but good), and he's been there for me as a father-figure for the past TEN YEARS of my life. seriously. some of the best advice i've ever gotten has been from him. and he's famous! so woo-hoo.
2. coheed & cambria:
   hmm. well. i like them. don't love them. claudio is pretty fucking brilliant, but i definitely have to be in the mood to listen to them. the new album is coming out soon and i'm curious.
3. everclear:
   ohh well. look at that. yes, i guess the "art alexakis" stuff can tie in with this. i first got into everclear in late 95-early 96. carrie gave me the cassette tape of "sparkle and fade" i listened to it once and didn't stop for, well, ever. first saw them at 328 in april of '96 with my mom, dad, amber, and some other kid. and proceeded to see them live about 50 times, i'm not exaggerating. i still listen to them all the time.
4. high fidelity:
   EXCELLENT movie. excellent. it has all the goods. i was told quite frequently when the movie came out that i was "like a male john cusak" with all my lists and mix tapes and what-not. i took it as a compliment. little latin loopdeeloo.
5. mallrats:
   ohhh man. amber and i got the soundtrack before the movie even came out in 8th grade. we then saw the movie and watched it ALL the time. i still consider this in my top 3 favorite movies ever. my dad loves it more than anything. it's brilliant. jason lee fucking owns me.
6. painting:
   yup, love me some painting. i kinda lost touch with it, but picked it up again about a year ago. it is so very cathartic. i did an amazing replica of a beach boys painting that my sister has for jd for his birthday and it came out brilliant, and really motivated me.
7. red sox:
   GO SOX! ohhh man. i can't wait to live in boston and go to games or at least watch them on tv with my friends up there. seriously. i wish i could have enjoyed the world series more last year, but...oh well. "fever pitch" rules too, haha.
8. scarves:
   i <3 scarves. i love knitting scarves. i love autumn and winter, somewhat because of scarves. i hate that i started wearing scarves around my waist about TWO YEARS before everyone else did and gap even started advertising it :P
9. the features:
   haha! favorite local band of all time. make me dance. make me happy. only band i've seen more than everclear, haha. dad produced them. sister to wed drummer. they've got it all. not to mention the two cutest twins i've ever seen in my life.
10. thursday:
    great band. who cares if they are emo. i love 'em. "war all the time" is a fucking moving song.
