II. History…
***A lot of this is done prior to there being an Orochimaru in DC. This is subject to change if it conflicts with what the character brings at the time when we finally do get a player***
A. Early Childhood ( 0 - 12 ) Anko was a poster child for the orphanage system. She has no knowledge of her parents what so ever, her youngest memories were that of the friendly nurses and caregivers at the orphanage. She was never a troublemaker, always did as told, always followed the rules to a T. She started school at the age of 5 with others her age, surprisingly enjoying herself while those around her grumbled about going. Her excellent marks in school had her transferred from the general education populace and into a more excelled and advanced classes, which inadvertently brought her into the spotlight that then caused her to then catch the eye of the Auctor Orochimaru. While most of the children shied away from him in favor of the more personable Jiraiya and Tsunade, Anko found herself inexplicably drawn to the quieter of the three. His genuine interest in everything she showed him captured her heart early on and gave her a goal to work towards; making Orochimaru proud. Never did she question his oddly consistent visits to her school, or his interest in her and her alone. Not once did it cross her mind that was odd for such an esteemed person to find interest in such an insignificant child.
B. Pre-teen/Teenage Years ( 13 - 19 ) Her eagerness to please him followed her into her teen-aged years, where she eagerly looked forward to his visits, and the time they spent together with her studies. When she reached the age of 15, rather then choosing a prescribed career path as her peers did, Anko left the school and Ceno itself to transfer to Celo so that she could train and study under her mentor. While she embraced the new-found freedoms of Celo, she still worked hard, assisting Orochimaru with his minor Auctor duties and following his strict regimen of education. She had only been in Celo for about 6 months when Orochimaru approached her about signing up to join the Arma, which of course she did, easily passing all entrance and endurance exams. Promoted to Arceo at 17, with her dedication and hard work she swiftly rose through the ranks, ending up as the youngest Lieutenant Colonel at the age of 19.
C. Early Adulthood/Adulthood (20 - Current Age ) Her first night in Cena proved to be one of the most trying moments of her life. Emotionally broken by the defection and abandonment of her beloved mentor, she stumbled blindly through the streets, no where to go, no one to turn to. It didn't take long before someone saw an advantageous situation and Anko found herself thrown to the ground with a knife to her throat and her shirt half torn off of her. After the shock of her situation wore off, she quickly broke the wrist of the bastard, stealing his knife and rammed it into his leg, easily rolling him off top of her as she made a decision then and there that she would no longer play the victim. She easily found employment with one of the many prostitution rings in her early days, hoarding her money and making her connections. [INCOMPLETE SECTION]

III. Personality…
A. Expression of Emotions
1. Anger: She has a horrible temper when things do not go her way. Do not cross her path when she is one her moods, she doesn't care who you are, you're going to get hurt. On the rare occasion she does get pissed off, she tends to get reckless and doesn't necessarily think things through properly which tends to land her in trouble a good chunk of the time.
2. Fear: Having learned very early on to not show your fear regardless of the situation, Anko does her best to abide by that code. If backed into a corner she's very quick to lash out if only to hide the fact that she's scared to death. Only in front of those she knows and trusts to a certain extent will she allow any sign of it.
3. Sorrow: When sad or upset, Anko tends to turn inwards, effectively shutting everyone around her out, and if anyone is brave enough to try to confront her in such a state, she's quick to freeze them out unless they go too far. In that case, she'll snap and attack.
4. Joy: In this state Anko's the most childlike. Often foolish and giddy, she's not above tackling a person for a hug or bouncing around like an idiot.
5. Love: Having never been shown love herself, and seeing how the emotion can destroy a person, Anko is very leery of it. She avoids relationships if they become too intrusive or if her feelings get too entangled with another person if she can possibly help it, but when it does hit, it confuses the hell out of her and she tries to deny it up until the end. Once admitted though, she gives of herself completely.
6. Humor: She has a very sick, perverted sense of humor. She is easily amused by the little things, especially when it comes to tormenting those around her which she is very profficient at.
7. Other: Anko is an emotional person at heart, but with her line of work and her past experiences, she is capable of ridding herself of all emotions and slipping into a very cold persona that is a complete opposite of how she normally is. Very few people have seen her when slips into that mask fully. However effective, it's not something she particularly likes because of the inhuman feeling it gives her and she is finding as she gets older and more at ease with it, it's not as easy to lift as it once was. The thought that one day she will not be able to rid herself of it scares the hell out of her.
B. Likes/Dislikes
1. Likes: Sweet things, knives and weapons of all sorts, booze of any form though vodka and tequila are particular favorites, a good conversation or argument, invading other people's personal space and comfort zones, a good well matched fight, music to rock around to, being in good company, the occasional good book.
2. Dislikes: Needles, idiots who think they are above everyone else, people who try to order her around, that bitch that always bumps into you and makes you spill your drink at the bar, the government in general, prissy ass girls who can't handle their business, being reminded of her age and/or cracks made about her age.
C. Notable Quirks
- She tends to forget the fact that she's on the closer side to 30, acting more like a juvenile and reckless then kids half her age. This includes the fact that she finds herself surrounded by younger guys that make it very difficult to keep her conscience in check.
- For all her wariness of other people, she is very protective of the people in her life once she's made any sort of connection with them.
- She has developed some odd habit of attacking people with throw pillows.
- Between her being a child of the military and her time spent living and surviving in Cena, Anko is more then proficient as a killer and a hunter. She has become a master at suppressing her instincts and a bloodlust that easily rivals Gaara's, though she has somehow convinced herself that she doesn't like the taking of another's life when she's of a particular frame of mind. Somedays she enjoys the hunt, others she gets very upset by the blood that stains her hands.
- Anko's answer to all of life's woes (plus her instant fix for all the sexually repressed brats that seem to flock around her) is to get laid.
- She is an unrepentant pervert. Plain and simple.

F. Status on Relationships

2. Friends:
Kankurou - Kankurou and Anko share an interesting relationship to say the least. While they may have started off in a business arrangement and a rocky truce at best they slowly evolve into something neither of them could possibly describe if asked to. Their personalities are so alike it's frightening at times, which is also the basis for most of their arguments because neither of them likes to back down and is constantly trying to one up the other. She respects him for the chemist and poison master that he is but more-so because he is the only person doesn't seem to care about what she is and even goes so far as to challenge her in many things. To be perfectly honest, he scares the hell out of Anko, making her feel things she hasn't ever felt for anyone, causing her to step back and open her eyes to some things she had blinded herself to for far too long. Her natural curiosity for all things new keeps her from running in the opposite direction like her sensible side is screaming at her to, another part of her is eagerly embracing this new thing they've got going after being starved for many years for such attention and affection. But as with all things, she's finding that love is a double edged sword. Her feelings for Kankurou lead to her to act irrationally at times, acting in what she believes to be in his best interest though he isn't apt to agree. This can range from withholding information at times or doing something he would prefer her not to do, but she does it in his best interest always.
Sai - The kid is an endless source of fascination for Anko. His odd and constant questions are both a source of amusement and annoyance, depending on her mood at the time. She still doesn't know a whole lot about him in general which irks her to no end. He seems to be so intelligent but so lost at the same time and she doesn't know what to make of it. She enjoyed having an ally in him when it came to someone 'watching' over Gaara. He fuels her sugar cravings when she can con him into baking for her (she can cook herself, it's the principal of the matter of having a Sai-made cake). She's still horrified over his cluelessness in the matter of all things intimate and constantly berates herself for semi-lusting after a kid 11 years her junior, no matter how hot his abs are.
Naruto - Anko adores Naruto. The brat is just as crazy as she is and the two share a similar taste in a great many things, including men which is a little frightening when it comes down to it. She likes to think of him as the little brother she never had, though that doesn't necessarily stop her attempts to fluster him when she can. No matter who else filters into her life, Naruto is the one who Anko will seek out for advice or just for a little human contact. Even if they may not agree with the other in something, they'll still be there to support one another.
Gaara - It's always a toss up between annoyance or amusement when it comes to Gaara. Anko sees a lot of herself in him, which alternately scares her and puts her at such an ease in his presence. One thing that probably irritates him to no end is the fact that she's not scared of him or his random threats to her well being, though she will admit to being slightly unnerved waking up in the middle of the night to find him watching her sleep. She enjoys having someone just as crazy as she is to bitch and bicker with, as well as share oddly comfortable moments together on the rare occasion they're not trying to kill (or just slightly maim) each other. She completely disregards any and all barriers he's set up around himself, be it a sensitive subject or just human contact in itself hoping that someday, he'll finally stop seeing himself as a monster and start seeing himself as the man(kid?) that he really is. For all she may protest, she genuinely enjoys having him living with her, much to her own surprise and horror. His sudden disappearance really throws her and she still worries about him from time to time.
Rin - The Sexy Doc. Albeit their first real meeting was incredibly awkward, Anko still enjoys flirting and pestering the 'Doc' as she seems to ignore the fact that Rin does have a name. Though talking of her past in even the vaguest terms brings up a lot of bad memories, she is glad to have found someone who seems to honestly understand. The two of them seem to enjoy sharing Sai-Horror Stories and though they may have conflicting views on what sort of information he should be privy to, Anko and Rin are like two overprotective sisters (mothers is too old a term thus not usable) who cannot always see eye to eye but both worry about him as well as Naruto. Though one would imagine Kakashi to be a sticking point between the two, after 'The Night', they both seem to have reached a mutual decision to not bring him up at all. Currently there is a bit of distance between the two. After Sai's disappearance, Rin is the only person who's seen him and hides behind her Doctor/Patient privilege much to Anko's dismay.
Haku - Another one of Anko's adopted brats. Not phased by Haku's appearance as much as others after being subjected to Neji, Anko still has no problem picking on Haku's androgyny at the oddest times. She thinks him an idiot with his decision to enlist but she cannot fault his reasoning. She tries to be there for him as much as she can without putting herself at risk.
Kakashi - Her first new friend after moving back over into Celo. They respect each others private lives and are very comfortable with each other, so much so that they have no problem popping over to harass one another at odd hours to ramble on about nothing or to find comfort in another warm body.
3. Acquaintances
Neji - Sai's effeminate looking (though still hot) roommate is a constant source of amusement for Anko. She kind of gets the feeling that the sentiment is not returned. Another brat she's trying to get laid if only to improve his disposition.
Temari - Only known to Anko as 'Gaara's Whackjob Sister'. While she appreciates Temari's concern, she doesn't particularly care for her take on Gaara nor Anko's ability to handle the situation. Even with this previous grudge she's sensitive toTemari's plight, having gone through her similar situation years before.
Sasuke - One more sexually repressed brat Anko's met along the way. She's amused by Naruto's tormenting of this kid.
Asuma - Anko is quite amused by Asuma, although she was originally kind of insulted when he first picked on her about her bike being too much for her to handle, but his affinity for tea parties won her over in the end.
