Last night I watched 'Nights In Rodanthe' and I bawled my eyes out.
Damn! If I knew that it is going to be a sad ending, I would have give it a bit more thought before I decided to watch it, because crying that hard affects my mood. And it did, for the rest of the night. But then I should have expected it, since the film is adapted from the book by Nicholas Sparks.
I have watched 'Message in a bottle', 'A walk to remember', 'The Notebook'. I cried during 'Message in a bottle' and 'The Notebook' because I watched the film straight away, but I read 'A walk to remember' twice before watching the movie. In 'Message in a bottle', the hero died in the end as well, and in 'A walk to remember' it was the heroine who died.
In 'The Notebook', no one died in the beginning, but later on the heroine got Alzheimer's and they passed away together in their sleep. Really, Nicholas Sparks loves tragedy in his love stories. And perhaps it is this 'tragedy' element that made the love even more real and special. It became a love that will never die out, and will last forever.
It is getting really warm these days and I find it annoying. Well, not exactly annoying, but now the temperatures are rising way above my own personal optimal temperature and the sun is getting really piercing and bright. I've developed a fear for this kind of light. I know that sunlight is good, but when it comes down at you ruthlessly, I will start to feel a bit dizzy, or maybe it is because my lack of sleep.
Now, I am going to take a shower and hopefully wake myself up in the progress.
