Interesting little tid bit

Would you like to learn something interesting that I found out about in aerobics today? Well, too bad. I'm going to impart my knowledge on you anyway! I found out that one of the easiest ways to lose weight is to drink water. It helps with muscle tone, too! I know they say you are supposed to have 8 8 oz. glasses of water a day, but if you weigh over 128 pounds, then you need to up your water! Apparently, you are supposed to take your weight and divide that by two to find out how many ounces you need a day. When you drink water instead of a soft drink the body will take in less calories and will then start metabolizing the fat that is just sitting around. Also, by drinking that much water, most people lose about an average of 5 pounds a month WITHOUT additional exercise! Here is another cool part, for every pound of muscle you have, the body apparently burns 50 calories when you are just sitting there! Five pounds of muscle=250 calories a day burnt with no effort (which is the same amount of calories in a bottle of Coke). The power of just upping the amount of water you drink is pretty cool, huh?

EDIT: DON'T DRINK THAT MUCH WATER!!! YOU'LL DIE!!! At least that's another thing I've been told. Crazy doctors and their crazy mixed messages!
