Evening. PG. TTM. #58-dead guy's mouth. Alana & Sarah.

Sep 01, 2007 03:45

Fandom: hah. Only my own.

Prompt: Straight from the dead guy's mouth

Warnings:  Blood, I guess. And biting.

Rating: PG

Summary: Kinda just continues from the last story, Biting. It's a late at night, someone comes to visit the three ladies and makes Sarah a bit annoyed. (This summary sucks. You just gotta read it.)

A/N: This thing is kinda a bit more cohesive than my other stuff. Like it seems to have some kinda timeline and you could say these are chapters, but I'm not doing the whole chapter thing at the moment. But you could look at Falling as chapter 1, Biting as chapter 2 and this as chapter 3.

Credits for the photos and font are here: Click ME! except the cross which is found here: Click Me!. I have no idea what that brush is called which I used for Sarah's wings, but if you know then let me know and I'll credit. :)

I like this piece, a bit. So, I hope you read and enjoy. :D

Sarah and Mary were watching the Tv late on a Thursday evening. Something about disasters on The History Channel. Both were deeply engrossed in one about airship disasters when the doorbell sounded and pierced the Tv funk surrounding them.

Sarah looked at Mary who had covered her feet with a white knitted wool blanket and got ready to get up. But that was no good since it was much easier for Sarah to get up from her position on the couch.

"It's alright. I'll get it. You stay put." Sarah told her, as she put her sock-clad toes on the hardwood floor and tugged her thick, brown wool sweater around herself. The belt to close it was lost, so she used a safety pin and one of the belt loops to close it. She turned on the lights in the hallway and opened the front door, outside awaits a certain red haired man.

Like Sarah could forget the man who bit her neck and fed on her. Alana had told her all about his kind the next day. They were mostly evil and bloodthirsty, but Sam was diffrent or so Alana seemed to think for some reason. Sarah might be new to this place, but now that she wasn't dizzy with blood-loss she wasn't so sure.

"Hi. Sarah, yeah?" He asked her, standing outside in the rain underneath the lamp that hung over the doorway and shone down on him. Her neck still hurt from his little nibble and she only nodded.

"What do you want this late at night? We're not all nocturnal like your kind." Sarah told him, a bit snarky but then it's not like she didn't have a point about that.

"Is Alana home?" Sam asked her and had a smirk on his face now. A damn smirk. Sarah didn't like smirks a lot, usually it was because something not so nice was on said persons mind or something.

"She is. I bet you know where she is, so help yourself." Sarah just told him, as she waved him to the stairs while also stepping aside so that he could enter the hall. But when Sam was on his way up the stairs and Sarah was watching him go, Mary comes up behind her in her robe & slippers clutching a cup of something hot. Probably tea. What else hot was there?

"I haven't seen him around for a while." Mary told Sarah, as they returned to the couch and the Tv which was was now showing something about engineering disasters.

"You know him?" Sarah asks a bit surprised, but then maybe it's not all that surprising since god knows how long Alana has stayed here and all. Could have been years and Sarah doubts Alana has never had friends over.

"Yes. A bit. Alana used to hang around with him and his friends. I thought she had stopped." Mary told Sarah, as she once again spread her wool blanket over her legs and if Sarah wasn't mistaken you might have called Mary disappointed.

"Well, I'm getting a bit tired so I'm thinking about doing a little reading and then get some sleep. So, good night." Sarah told Mary, before giving her a peck on the cheek and heading for the same stairs as Sam had used not so long ago.

It wasn't her fault if she had to walk past Alana's room to get to her own or the fact that the door was only half-closed. She had heard the saying: Curiosity killed the cat. But she didn't she didn't think that was a problem since she was not a feline. So, she moved a bit closer to the half-closed door and tried to catch a glimpse of what was going on in there.

She didn't know what she had suspected. But maybe this made sense, with Sam being a vampire and all but for some reason she hadn't expected to see him stuck to her neck like a leech. And he wasn't bloodthirsty? Yeah, right.

Something deep down growled at that image. A very weird feeling but it was probably jealousy. But which one was it directed at? Alana for having that kind of hot guy or Sam for attaching himself like that to Alana's neck. The whole licking thing hadn't left Sarah's mind since it happened, not that she wanted it out of her mind, even if it was a little fuzzy and she vaguely remembered the biting.

Sarah backed away from the door and instead of going to her room like planned, she goes back downstairs. She'd just wait them out and watch a little more Tv. At least it was a bit educational, not some bad reality show.

When she got back downstairs Mary was making herself some more Tea (she drank a lot) and looked up when Sarah entered the kitchen. She obviously noticed the slightly annoyed look on Sarah's face.

"I have something for you, Sarah. Just wait here while I get it." She told Sarah who's got this 'really?' look on her face as she took a seat at the kitchen table. When Mary returned from her bedroom, which was on the same floor as the kitchen, she handed Sarah a small white box.

When Sarah opened the box she at first just saw pink. Some kinda pink cotton something. But then she took that out of the box and underneath lay a beautiful old but in good condition Cross on some more of that pink cotton which kinda reminded her of cotton candy but she doubted it was that.

"Wow. It's beautiful. You shouldn't have." Sarah told her, and handed her the open box with the necklace in it. She had gotten some clothes and essentials from Mary along with some of Alana's clothes that she had stopped wearing but this was just too much in her mind.

"Nonsense. It really suits you and it wasn't expensive at all. You deserve it." Mary told her, as she picked it up from it's cotton candy bed and proceeded to put the necklace on Sarah who let her. What Mary hadn't told her was that the reason it hadn't been that expensive or at all pricey was because it had already been hers for many years since it was an family heirloom.

As planned they watched a little more Tv. Still History Channel. Something about Samurai's or something Japanese. Sarah's mind isn't on the Tv, but more on her new necklace and what's happening upstairs.

When she decided it was late enough for her that she just had to go to sleep no matter if Sam left or not it was 2 AM and Mary had gone to bed an hour earlier. But when she got up the stairs after turning of all the lights and Tv, they were playing music, at 2 AM! How inconsiderate could you get?

So Sarah talked herself up and knocked on the door which was by the way not all the way closed but not as much opened liked earlier that night. No reply. She knocked again and told them to turn the volume down, after all it was after midnight in the middle of the week. Not really, but close. If anything though the music only got louder.

For just that she just pushed the door open and said; "Will you please at least turn down the music so I can get some sle..." She didn't finish because almost as soon as she had barged into the room Sam scrambled away from Alana, who was on her bed, with huge eyes and looked scared as hell of something.

"What now? It's not like I could hurt you. Can you just please turn down the damn music so I can get some sleep." Sarah told him in this exhausted voice. She just wanted some sleep, damn it.

"Your not normal, seriously. The wings. The wings have got to stop." Sam muttered while getting up of the floor and fixing his slightly crumpled clothes before slipping on his jacket that had hung from the back of Alana's desk chair.

"When it comes straight from the dead guy's mouth, I find that I really can't take you seriously." Sarah told him, her eyes narrowed at him and hands on her hips. So, she might have been watching a little too much Tv of all kinds but it seemed to be working because he shrunk back a bit.

"Will you shut the fuck up about the damn wings. They're long gone." Alana told him, from her position on the bed where she was lying kin off like a rag doll of some sorts. Sam just kinda gave her this weird look and Sarah noticed how bad the wound on her neck looked. Which made her step up closer to Sam and almost spit out; "What have you done? Get out. NOW."

Sarah took a few more steps in his direction, if that's even possible, and he seems to notice something around her neck which scares him even more which Sarah didn't think could be done at the moment. She looked down and off course, it was her cross that she had just gotten from Mary. He scurried away from her and out the bedroom door, he avoided looking at her and really looked utterly freaked out. The damn nutjob. At least, he was gone.

She got Alana under her covers and turned the music off. Sarah thinks that at one time Alana asked about Sam, so she just told her that the nutjob had gone home and that seemed to satisfy her. When it looked like she had fallen asleep, Sarah turned the lights off and left the room for her own.

Sarah put on her PJ-pants and tried to see the scars on her back using this beautiful mosaic framed mirror. But she could only see the ends of the scars really. She thought back to how Sam had again mentioned her wings. He had to be nuts or playing a cruel trick on her, because her wings were gone. All she had left was a scarred back.

But how could he even know about her wings to be playing a trick on her because she had only met him twice and no one even knew about the real her. But her couldn't be seeing flashes of her wings. Sure, sometimes it felt like they were still there but then she remembered the truth.

She put on her PJ-top and got into her bed, took of her necklace & put it on her bedside table so she'd know where it was in the morning. Then she turned of her lamp which was now the only source of light in the room.

She can't wait to show the cross to Alana in the morning. And she hoped that whatever that twerp did besides the obvious would be cured by a good nights rest. As soon as she had wiped away the blood the bite hadn't looked so bad but it would probably hurt for a few days like hers did.

Sarah fell asleep thinking about how the weather was going to be the next day. She wanted to go out for a nice walk around the neighborhood, maybe even with Mary or Alana. What can one say, after all she's not normal. A bit weird, really.
