__________
The last person that you expected to see today, or any other day for that matter, was the same person that was in your dreams last night.
You were standing at the door of the smoking area while he was a couple of tables away from you, sitting with his back facing you and a half eaten plate in front of him.
He was alone and you were debating if you should go to him and say hi…
You laughed at that idea because it was as if both of you were friends that haven’t seen each others for ages.
Too bad that the “friends” part wasn’t real.
You were afraid to look him in the eyes, to talk to him; it wasn’t easy for you to see him there, close but still far away from your reach.
It wasn’t easy to let him go either.
Now that you think about it, the reason why you broke up with him was totally absurd and even now after years of being separated you couldn’t understand why you did such a stupid thing.
But then you remember.
That the reason was that you were afraid… afraid that all the happiness that you had with him was nothing but lies, that it wasn’t going to last and that you didn’t deserve him at all.
He needs someone better. That was what you were thinking when you told him those awful words that not only hurt him but…
It also broke your heart.
“Why?” He asked you. The only response that he got was your back facing him when you walked away from him. At that moment, your body was doing something your heart didn’t want it to do, but your mind made it.
But the worst thing was that you didn’t do anything to take it back, to mend things. And you were hoping that Yunho would forgive you one of these days. You didn’t know if it had already happened, or if it had yet to come.
Taking a deep breath, you decided to greet him. It couldn’t be so bad, right?
And so you did. Taking small steps until you were at his back, your hand reached for his shoulder to call his attention, which you got quickly.
He faced you with a big smile on his lips and you found yourself wondering if that smile was meant for you or somebody else.
“Yoochun.” He said your name, sounding longer than it was.
“How are you, Yunho?” Well, at least he didn’t erase you from his memory, which was a good thing.
“Fine; I’m just having lunch before getting back to work,” he said gesturing to his food. “What about you?”
“I’m doing the same thing with some friends at the back of the restaurant.”
You were looking straight at his face and you could see that he was even more handsome than you remembered, his eyes shining with life and his skin so fresh.
Your knees were trembling by just being by his side, his attention being all yours.
Just like the old times. You thought.
He was about to say something else when you noticed a hand sliding towards his right shoulder. When you looked up, you saw a boy of soft features, full lips and a smile that you bet never faded from his handsome face.
He was like a little ray of fucking sunshine, and you felt like the moon that was being overshadowed by his blinding sunlight.
You felt stupid for not seeing the other plate at Yunho’s right before. He wasn’t alone after all and you wanted to kick yourself for thinking that in his heart there was still a place for you.
“Who’s your friend, honey?” said the boy, and at that moment, you almost died.
“Oh! Junsu, this is Yoochun,” he said, blushing, and you couldn’t help but notice when the boy lifted his eyebrow and his smile became more like smirk. He knew who you were, but you didn’t think that Yunho had told him about you, or at least not everything.
“Yoochun, this is Junsu.” You took his hand and shook it faintly, while he was almost squeezing the life out of yours.
Yes, he definitely knew who you were. He was probably imagining you as the terrible ex-boyfriend that liked to break the heart of anyone that was in his way.
The air was filled with so much tension that it was difficult for you to even breathe. You had to get out of there.
“Well, I have to go; I just wanted to say hi,” you said smiling down to your ex-boyfriend.
“It was nice to meet you, Junsu.” You almost wanted to bite your tongue for saying such a lie.
Yunho said good bye to you, shaking your hand, feeling the softness of his skin for what you knew was going to be the last time. You then walked away.
To you, it was déjà vu.
Once again, you were walking away from him without telling him your real feelings, without telling him that he was still in your thoughts, in your dreams, that you regret with all your heart that you let him go, that you left him because of your stupid insecurity and that you wanted him back…
…That after him you couldn’t find a love as good as his.
But it was too late. He has someone now and by the look on his face, you knew that he was happy and that Junsu was the new owner of his heart.
Your feelings were playing with you… Should you be happy that he was happy? Or should you be angry for not being the one he loves anymore?
However, you decided that it was you.
It was you whom you should be angry at because…
…You were the one who was stupid enough to let him go.
_______
So; this is the last part of the story. YooChun's point of view. Some of you thougth that YunChun were going to get back together, but really; i don't think that someone can go back with the person that broke your heart. YooChun in the end is regreting the fact that he let Yunho go and you know what people say: You don't know what you have until is gone.
