Manga heaven and some doramas goodness

Yeah, I am spamming. I am still reading Red River manga, slowly but steadily. I don't love it (yet) but I do like it. I think the fact that I can just read it at the bookstore really helps (the biggest problem with Basara was that I liked it well enough but not enough to invest in a bunch of volumes sight unseen).

Oh, oh, oh. And THANK YOU calledinvain. I ( Read more... )

Please tell me you're one of those nice customers who when they sit in a bookstore, sit somewhere discreetly and don't block the aisles thus causing fire hazards, inaccessible paths for our wheelchair bound customers, and also prevent us from doing our job (ie, shelving?)

It's a *cough* minor peeve of mine, and a hazard from the job - I realize I can't stop people from reading things in the aisle, and with manga, it's better to have a general idea of what it's about then buying things blindly, because you can't return manga, and volume after volume - it gets expensive really quickly, but sometimes, oh, the Stupid Manga Kids and I get into a really passive aggressive Battle Royale.

But yes, I love Her Majesty's Dog to pieces, and I'm looking forward to your post about it. I wish the translations would come out sooner, but that's what I always say about the manga I love. Hmmm, or I should just finally buckle up and learn Japanese, like I've been meaning to. It'd be cheaper - the manga in original format usually runs to about 5 dollars a volume.

I always take them to one of the reading areas and shelve them back once I am done (unless I am buying them). I used to work in a library :P

HMD is awesome and amazing and I am afraid to read too fast because I don't want to be done yet.
