Witch Yoo Hee and other dramas

Have finished ep 2 of Witch Yoo Hee and never have I wished so much I understood Korean, because I simply must watch more. I am seriously tempted to watch it raw.

WYH. For the win! I guess I'll console myself for the temporarily lack of the episodes by catching up on Hello Miss (Lee Ji Hoon! Lee Da Hae!) and The Devil (would you believe I haven't watched it yet????) and Thank You and Summer x Summer. Isn't it crazy that there are so few TV shows on American TV I want to watch but the kdramas (and twdramas and jdramas) keep me tv-occupied.

Re WYH. After two episodes I have completely changed my mind. I cannot wait to see how Mo-Ryong and Yoo Hee will get together. Because every scene with them is gold, and I have stopped wanting to smack Yoo Hee, too. OMG, the make-over scenes, LOL. Also, I want Mo-Ryong to come live in my house and cook for me and make me over. Yeah.

You know I am not sure whether Seung-Ri is his gf. They don't spend much, if any, time together, no affection, and he didn't tell her about the whole deal with Yoo Hee (he'll make her over for debt forgiveness). I am getting a vibe of long-term friends instead. I can also pinpoint to an exact scene where I realized (pretty irrevocably) why Mo-Ryong is so awesome and would make a good SO for Yoo Hee and why Joon Ha, despite the prettiness, is someone she should not waste time on:

It's the scene at the class reunion, where lots of people's worst nightmare happens to Yoo Hee: her skirt gets loose and she is in her undies in front of everyone. Joon Ha, to whom she was talking, just stands there, utterly uninvolved and pretending to be not there, as everyone is laughing at Yoo Hee. Even though Yoo Hee is someone he knows really well, and she is in such a situation. But he doesn't want to be caught in an awkward or embrarassing situation. But when Mo-Ryong sees, he couldn't care less about the crowd or appearances. And mind you, he is not in love with Yoo Hee. He doesn't even like her at this point or knows her well (and doesn't want to know her better, either). But he is decent and kind and I love how it's instinctive and he shoves people aside and yells at them to mind their own business and gives her his suit coat to wrap around her and when she is still stumbling, he just picks her in his arms and carries her out, completely ignoring the mutters and the conversations. Joon Ha is all about himself and appearances. Mo-Ryong, otoh? Is a really good guy.

And completely unconnected, I bring you a whole bunch of vids from kdramas I have either seen or plan to watch.

A mv from one of my all time favorites, Delightful Girl Chun-Hyang. Doesn't hurt that the soundtrack for this is a song from the drama sountrack that is probably my all time fave drama soundtrack song:

Another DGCH MV with anothing song from the drama's soundtrack. Now that I think about it, this drama has the best soundtrack of all the ones I've seen:

And here are a couple from student-teacher ones. Hello My Teacher, on my very short list:

Sang-Do, Let's Go to School (does this actress specialize in playing teachers?

One of the best and angstiest dramas out there, A Love to Kill:

youtube2, rain, witch yoo hee, hello my teacher, delightful girl chun-hyang, a love to kill, doramas5
