Akira Squee (Nobuta Wo Produce)
I am watching Nobuta Wo Produce episode 4 and it is LOVE.
But you know why it is love?
Yamapi.
Sure, Kame's Shuji is nice and attractive and well acted and what not. But I can't tear my eyes off Akira for long enough to care. Sorry, Kame, I still love you in Tattakoi with a strength of a thousand suns, but I am sorry, it's Yamapi. Yamapi. As the really odd, really good-hearted, off-the-wall Akira. Who is so protective of Nobuta and so entertaining and so...EEEEE!
I love how he watches, very quietly, but steadily, after the mysterious evil person does that giant sign of 'Nobuta loves Shuji' (for an always loud, in yor face person, he can be surprisingly quiet). And the little sign with 'Nobuta Power' he shows Nobuta so she'd feel more confident (and she uses that!) And OMG, when he talks to Shuji about not getting water poured on her (due to the giant sign, Nobuta has been chosen to publically declare her feeling for someone in front of the whole school (a school tradition) where if the person doesn't like them back, water gets poured on them). And later he actually shows up at Shuji's house (and comments on his scrunchy :D) before nonchalantly putting down his bag and pulling out two concrete blocks on which he puts a bunch of bricks (also from his bag) and then breaks them in one move (eeeee!) while telling Shuji that if he pours water on Nobuta, this is what he is going to do to Shuji). And then munches something off their table, puts his bricks back in his back and walks out, to walk back home.
With the broken bricks and concrete blocks in his bag.
I am in love.
I mean, this is incredibly off-the-wall awesome: He randomly showed up at someone's house with a heavy bag of bricks, broke them, put them back in the bag, made his point, and left.
EEEEE!
And he watches her so anxiously during the ceremony when she is brought out to 'confess.'
I know Nobuta never feels about him 'that' way, but I don't care.

The more I watch this, the harder I fall for Akira (and to think I started NwP being freaked out by him).

When he meets the 'tell me the truth' guy and blurts out he likes Nobuta, in the fall in love sense. And only then you see it sink in, because he didn't even realize it until it was out of his mouth, and his reaction is so amazingly Akira-like: wonder and hyperness and being stunned that OMG, I like Nobuta and just...
But you know, to mention Shuji, I was very touched by the fact that he played that chart game to determine water (dislike) or flower (like) and kept going until he hit flower. Something about that just touched me a lot.
