I don't really get the sibling taboo though: I mean, they are not biologically related and they didn't grow up together. Their parents got together when Meng and XY are already what, 20? Heck, their first meeting (if not hook-up) was before they even knew their parents were dating. Maybe I am just dense but I don't get the taboo.
I love doramas.
I have to say that Meng and Rang's notion of brotherly love is peculiar. I am not into tough love myself, but then I am not a guy. Big 'of course' on the fact that Meng blames himself for his parents' divorce and feels bitter that when Mom left Dad she took Rang and not him. Kids get that way.
OMG the bit where Meng gets jealous because he thinks XY baked a cake for YY too is heeeee. I love YY going 'you look so cute when you are jealous' and Meng (who has a bad cold) coughing on him on purpose. What are they, 12?
Even better is when Meng is attacked by the sudden illness beloved of doramas and XY ends up taking care of him. I love it when she bosses him around and he makes her smile and there is kissing.
The amusement park was also cuteness. I love how XY is totally able to break through Meng's 'I am too cool for this' attitude.
Also, all the repeated hugging on public streets (and one time while disgruntled Rang films them) is HOT. So is his taking care of her when she gets sick and cooking for her and picking her up and carrying her to bed (while complaining how heavy she is even though she is tiny). Adorableness.
The whole 'oooooh, who smashed the Xmas trees' stuff was also fun, and Meng smashing his own (the rest got kicked over by Rang) to put himself on equal footing and then all the gang making theirs overnight is cute. Though seriously, can't buy them as a gang. Honest. They make Xmas trees together, people.
Loved Meng getting all jealous when the thought XY had another admirer and I like how matter of fact they both are about their feelings (he just mentions in passing in convesation that no one will love her as much as he and I think it's the first time he said ILY but it's a completely random thing in conversation).
Oh, and Meng was a beastie in high school.
And he carries XY's scarf everywhere with him like a good luck charm. Yay.
And on the YY/QZ front, they are adorable and happy! I love how they went on their date and her shoes were killing her (because she wanted to show off) so he ran off and she thought he ditched but he got back with a pair of shoes that fit and put them on for her. So OTP. Even though silly girl is now getting worried he doesn't really like her as she was the one wooing him all along.
ETA. Oh yes, how could I forget. Heeee. Meng got horribly injured in a fight protecting XY and Rang (and they don't know about the fight or injury) and was told to stay still but of course he has to play and win the big basketball championship so he is not telling about the inner bleeding to anyone. Why do I foresee him dramatically fainting on the floor?
