I watched ep 2, and it's even better.
First off, let me hyperventilate: he leans in to kiss her!!!!!!
OMG. Special Hell, here I come.
I love the bit at the beach where he pretends to swallow her ring and she ends up chasing him.
I do feel very sorry for her fiance who is a very nice and decent guy. I also love the fact that Michi is freaking out about her having feelings for a student. And I love the bit where Hikaru is on the beach with her and he is noticing her neck (interestingly, that is a positive sexual association as opposed to when he sees his mother's and remembers her making out with that doctor. I wonder if he is transferring some of his mother stuff to Michi. Also, that mother is freaking me out).
And oh boy, he really is so lost and desperate. And jealous. And can't control himself around her. I do love the scene where he tries to shoplift in front of her and she tries to get him to stop and then does the 'fine' thing and starts stuffing things into her own pockets and then he tries to stop her. He really is a good guy underneath the pose.
Of course, seeing that even untrue rumors of their dating created such a stir, I can't even imagine what will happen later.
This thing is a trainwreck and you can see the train coming and you can't stop it.
