Crazed fangirls, dull movies, cool anime and a hell of a lot of Bollywood. And vests. Sweater vests

This site: http://www.saint-just.net/ makes me very happy. It makes life wonderful. The historical stuff is great and I am going to spend happy hours browsing it, but what makes it so perfect is the fanart section where we learn that in between fighting a war on multiple fronts, ruling France, instituting major governmental and societal reforms, running the Reign of Terror, and coming up with weirdness such as the Temple of Reason, Robespierre and Saint-Just apparently mended each other's shirts and embroidered little ducks on them, drooled over wigs, and basically were the cutest, fluffiest slash couple ever. Yes, even being a long-dead French revolutionary shall not stop Teh Crazy or fangirls or slash. Enjoy!

I have also been watching I Capture the Castle, movie version. crumpeteer was right. Stephen is gorgeous, but the humor and the warmth are missing. The warmth part is even more surprising. I was never in any doubt that the crazy family loved each other, or that they were brilliantly eccentric, but nothing like this comes across. I am amused at the fact that Riley Finn is playing Neil. And just like in the book, I cannot comprehend Cassandra not wanting Stephen, or preferring Simon. Just can't.

I've also decided to give Saiyuki as too dull and just skipped to Saiyuki Reload which I am enjoying a lot. The credits are also better as the s&m is gone. Heeeee.

In Bollywood news, everyone should read fivil's latest, brilliant bit of Fanaa fanfic. It's a Fanaa/Dil Se cross-over and it makes so much sense, it's scary. It's here

I've also been thinking about various dream projects I'd like to happen in Bollywood and to list them. And people could add their own. By that I mean anything you'd like that we haven't heard is happening yet.

1. SRK and Kajol making another movie together. As fivil put it, the internet would explode. Or at least the Bollywood loving portion of it. Now that Fanaa is such a huge hit, surely Kajol would make another movie...

2. Sanjay Leela Bhansali making another movie. I'd watch him film a telephone book.

3. Saif making more art-house movies. He was so good in Being Cyrus. I wonder if he has any more, other than Omkara, lined up?

4. Aamir and SRK making a movie together. Any director who could bring about one of the biggest Bolly casting coups is pretty much guaranteed a hit, so someone, try harder!

5. Salman and Aishwarya making another movie together. Yeah, snowball's chance in hell. But they had such amazing chemistry.

6. Farhan Akhtar making another good movie. DCH was groundbreaking. Then came the atrocious Lakshya. Shape up! Though I guess there is always hope for Don, but it will be fun but nothing outstanding, most likely.

7. Kareena and SRK making a movie as a lead couple. Kareena is the only actress that came close to having the amount of chemistry with SRK that Kajol did.

8. Mani Ratnam sticking with Abhishek as his male lead. Yuva wad great, can't wait for Guru, now keep picking him for roles!

9. Abhishek stop making those stupid action movies. You can act amazingly, so do it.

10. Someone giving Zayed Khan a good role in a good movie.

11. Aamir making a movie with Mani Ratnam. That would be a dream come true, though two perfectionists together? Kinda scary.

12. More historical movies.

13. Saif and Vidya making more movies together after Eklavya (and to be paired opposite each other in Eklavya).

14. Juhi to go back to being a heroine in mainstream Bollywood movies.

15. Madhuri to come back. In some complex, adult role.

16. Hrithik to make a movie that I will look forward to not just because he is in it (Though hopefully Jodha-Akbar will be it).

17. Kajol and Aamir. Another movie together.

18. SRK to so either another sweeping epic tragic romance or something off-beat.

19. Kareena and Abhishek, another movie?

20. Santosh Sivan directing again.

21. Salman in a serious, intense role in a good movie. Come on, Tere Naam was SO good.

22. Uday realizing he cannot act, has no charisma, and is hideous to boot and thus staying behind the camera. Or becoming the new Johnny Lever.

Yours?

And because no post is complete without Bolly eye candy, today's is courtesy of two older Bolly movies, Kabhi Kabie and Silsila. Feast your eyes on the younger versions of Amitabh, Rishi Kapoor, Shashi Kapoor, Rekha, Jaya Bachchan, Neetu Singh, Waheeda Rehman and a bunch of others. I am not in love with either of those movies (though I do like them), but I do love the dated, stylish pictures and the fashions. And young Amitabh is HOT.
