Top 10 most romantic Bollywood scenes

Jan 17, 2006 18:44

As a result of some time ago discussion with crumpeteer (who is seriously the coolest person on LJ), here is my list of Top 10 most romantic Bollywood moments. I was going to do a general movies one but then realized there is no way I could fit it all in one list. So here, in no order, a post I've been working on, off and on, for a week or so.

Top 10 Romantic moments, spoilers for the movies in question, of course )

*is listening to Asoka soundtrack*

That scene in Hum Tum where they roleplay marriage applicants is the most beautiful thing ever. When Saif takes Rani's face in his hands and says "There's no one I love more than you" my heart just skips a beat. It's so quirky and romantic and just awesome.

Also, my all time favourite most romantic BW scene is from K3G where SRK and Kajol are at the festival and he is talking about the nature of romantic relationships, and all the while he is slooooowly putting those bangles around Kajol's wrist... *fans self* LOVE IT.

"Am I hurting you?"

Guuuuuh.

I am listening to the Asoka soundrack as well.

Yes, that Hum Tum scene...you can see the moment the playacting becomes reality.

*sigh* I don't think I could ever make this kind of a list. Too many romantic scenes in Bollywood to just pick ten! :D

Heee. I am list-obsessed, however.

I think I need to watch Parineeta. I really like Saif Ali Khan. He's just so cute and all. Anyway, that sounds like my kind of movie.

I'm blushing at your blatant lies...:)

Yup, Parineeta is my favorite of his movies. Though I do also recommend Hum Tum and Ek Hasina Thi (though in the latter he plays a baddie).

Nope, not lies. Seriously, I love all your posts: they are great fun even if I know little about the topic. And let's not mention the cool character discussions and the yummy eye-candy. Yours is one of the few ljs I check when I've been away for a while and have no chance to catch up with everything.

What a nice list! I wholeheartedly agree with many points.

When I saw the pavillion scene in KKHH for the first time my heart literally clenched. And I would have never guessed that SRK and Kareena made such a sizzling couple but Asoka proved me wrong. Shahrukh has more passionate chemistry with her than with Rani though I love Rani to death.

I think Rani, much as I like her, has more chemistry with Abhi or Saif than she does with SRK.

Asoka was one of the earliest BW movies I've seen and my first Kareena film. I've loved her ever since (and boy, was it weird to see her as SRK's little sis in K3G).

I think she and SRK absolutely sizzle and only Kajol and Sush and Ash can give her a run for her money in that department (I love SRK-Juhi chemistry but strong as it is, it has a gentler, softer vibe).

If you don't cry during the movie, at least once, there is something wrong with you.

There's something wrong with me. *cries*

Honestly, I tried to cry. I tried to feel sad. And I always, always, ALWAYS cry when SRK is involved. But I just couldn't.

Love the list. And also love the fact that half of them are SRK moments. :P
