*beep beep is this thing on?*
Yup, still alive. Tumblr hasn't swallowed me yet.
Am currently obsessed with Prince of Lan Ling, the 46-ep cdrama with Feng Shao Feng and Ariel Lin. If, like me, you spent a portion of your most impressionable years watching shoujo fantasy anime (or reading similar manga) like Fushigi Yuugi, this thing is heaven.
I also love that it's (very loosely) based on the life of a talented general so pretty he had to wear a mask on the battlefield so as not to distract his enemies (!!!! yes, I am not making this up, it is apparently a real thing, per wikipedia, ahahahahaha :P). This has everything an addict like me needs - gorgeous period hair and clothing, a star-crossed, epic romance, eviler-than-evil villains, love triangles, battles, and a setting that is more fantasy than genuine 6th century AD. Plus, an occasionally-masked and always-deadly warrior hero who (literally, at one point) has rose petals floating around him and only loves one woman, and a heroine who is a shaman with powers to see the future and is played by my ultimate crush Ariel Lin (she is just so so perfect). Or, and for fellow Feng Shao Feng fangirls, plenty of shirtlessness :P
And then he drags her into the tub with him. I didn't even know you could do that in a cdrama! :P
