A drama just about the parents, I know, right?!! I've thought that, said that, written that, read that from others across the kdrama spectrum. Their tragic romance is just too delicious. Coupled with their son's story that will likely end in a happily ever after, the writer could have set up a little ying/yang thing. I soooooo would have been there for that. Plus, I just want more Jin Hyuk. The man is gorgeous as all get-out, with his voice and saguek hair! The directing and acting was really fine all around since I found myself moved by the cinematography and weeping over secondary characters with a brief show life (slave girl and brother), weeping for Seo Hwa's strength... It's sooooo good; I hope it remains this way.

Lee Yeon Hee blew me away, I've had a soft spot for her but she's never really been that impressive before but now just wowza. She has this ethereal beauty that just is perfect for a drama like this and the chemistry between her and Choi Jin Hyuk was perfect. (I have to say, his voice swoon. I'd move with him tot he mountains any time)
But we already know that their love is doomed and so I know I'm going to cry buckets. Can someone just make a drama with the parents and give them a happy ending.
I was surprised how much I liked it, now I'm afraid I'm going to like the story with the parents more then the part with LSG.

Yeah, I am worried it's a rare drama where I may like the prologue more than the main story (see Iljimae)

Can't wait to watch it after reading the recaps! Looks gorgeous and I really want a drama just about the parents now..

Also, I'm finishing up the drama Heartstrings and it's so adorable. Main couple is totally functional and it's such a nice lighthearted drama.

I enjoyed Heartstrings to bits even though normally a lighthearted college romp is not my thing. But they were so cute together!

In love with GFB! Drama slump over for me too. Yay!

I've already translated the first episode into French (after I swore to myself Gaksital would be my last project).

* off to watch episode 2 RAW *

I loved this, and would maybe trade a non-vital body part for a drama focusing on the parents. I loved Seo Hwa's pride, her strength, and determination. Dam broke my heart.

I love the actress playing Soo-ryung. She plays her as severely jaded and focused on her own survival but still human. I thought she was a very interesting villain and I'd like to know more about her.
