Romance books and a bit of drama

My computer is still in the repair shop so my drama watching is pretty much curtailed. By now, I am so behind on School, I Miss You and Cheonamdong Alice, I am probably just going to give up and wait until they are done and I can marathon. BUT! By now, I am so behind on School, I Miss You and Cheonamdong Alice, I am probably just going to give up and wait until they are done and I can marathon. BUT! I definitely plan to check out both Flower Boy Next Door and Yawang. What I am really craving is a fusion sageuk (one that is not the ridiculous and unappealing Jeon Woo Chi) but alas, there isn't one on the horizon.

I'm getting ready to drop IMY and CA.

CA--> The cute is almost gone and we're veering into nonsensical and want-to-pull-your-hair-out territory. I'll watch the latest 2 episodes and I'll decide then.
IMY--> It's going off the the deep end and I don't like any of the characters anymore. They've all cried liters of tears and I just can't bring myself to care anymore.

My new crack is Flower Boy Next Door. I hope it will be what Alice failed to achieve.

As for fusion sageuks, I feel your pain. The only one I'm interested in is Lee Seung Gi's The Gu Family's Book. But we've got months and months until it airs.

I was desperate so I finally started Jeon Woo Chi. It's not as bad as everyone made it out to be but it's no addiction material and it's pretty bland fare so far. I've only watched the first 2 episodes but I plan to watch a couple more to see if it'll serve as a place holder until something better comes along. It does have potential if you leave out the awful cgi and the 90s cinematography.

I think you should keep watching JWC! To me is the opposite of IMY (which i loved at first but it got so ridiculous that i dropped it), by each episode it gets better.

I am stil watching :o) I'm up to episode 5 now. I'm not addicted but since it's almost certain I'll drop Alice and IMY, JWC might do nicely to keep me occupied.

Hmmm, really? About CA and IMY. Perhaps I won't bother than. And School has no romance so it's losing me.

My slate is utterly open.

School has FANTASTIC bromance, though - it does so well on depicting the relationships it does show. In a way, removing the love lines also removed the predictability and allowed the writers to explore other relationships and characters, even if I'm sad that Kim Woo Bin and Tomboy Kang-joo are never going to connect on-screen.

As for IMY, I like where the OTP's relationship is right now plus crazy cop partner and all the good guys (also, our heroine gets to be happy and that is ADORABLE to see), but lord am I getting tired of Yoo Seung-ho's character and Daddy Satan. I'm pretty much still with this one out of obligation at this point, especially since they've tipped over into excessive flashback territory as a result of probably not having enough new footage to fill 66 minutes, ha.

I am afraid I need romance - once School dumped theirs, I lost interest. But I need to catch up on IMY.
