Arang and the Magistrate ep 11 turns me into a screaming loon. Quite a feat, with my sore throat!

So, it's official - the Demon is a fallen heavenly maiden wearing Eun Oh's Mom's skin. Couldn't have happened to a nicer person, say I! At least, the Mom had some excuse for the way she treated EO when I thought she was a demon! (Also, she knows Arang is a trap but she has no idea about a two-month span. Even if she got Arang's body, after two months, it's going to go poof and then ooops, demon - you are exposed!)

Eun Oh goes toe to toe with the head Grim Reaper and holds his own. If that doesn't give away he isn't fully human, nothing does.

Awww, I love that they discuss their troubles with each other now. To borrow a word from another awesome airing drama - 'partners!'

The juxtaposition of Arang finding out she and Killer Jr had no relationship and EO reading her dead self's diary about how she wanted to marry. Awwww, don't be jealous, Magistrate! It sounds to me more like she just wanted to escape the loneliness of her room than any romantic longing for Killer Jr.

He gets an arrow with a piece of Arang's clothing and a note to come to a particular place if he wants to see her again, so he sets out hell for leather. Clearly, Lord Choi and his minions have been watching Hanadan.

Speaking of Hanadan, he gets there and is easily defeating the goons until they put a knife to Arang's throat and tell him if he fights back, they are going to kill her. And he stops fighting. He stops fighting even though she cannot be killed permanently and so if her throat is slit, she will come back to life. Because he doesn't want her hurt (she can still feel pain, can still feel the terror of death - she told him). And she keeps yelling at him that she will be alright and to please fight but he just stands there and takes a brutal brutal beating (they are clearly beating him to death) to protect her.

And then she manages to free herself, he sees and what goes into action is the killer machine that is Eun Oh on a normal day times 20, as he is pissed off they hurt Arang. And he begs her to run because otherwise he will be distracted and she reluctantly obeys (Arang is great in a fight, she keeps her head and does what's best).

Only the bad guys catch up with them, order the gals killed and Arang steps in front of the shaman. Ohhhhh.

Not a good day for our thugs as they get dispatched by EO, who kneels by Arang, frealing out. Objectively he knows she will be OK, but you can't control your heart. And then he kisses her! (I posted it before but I couldn't help but sneak it here too). And she comes to with his lips on hers - there are worse ways to wake up. (And is it me, or was she kissing him back a little?) He tries to say it was to give her air. LOLOL I didn't see any air being passed, I just saw macking :)

Because every time Killer Jr. is miserable, a puppy is created!

Awww, he is tucking her in. This OTP is so amazing.

She wakes up to find him sitting by her, asleep. I love the tender look on her face. She asks him if he's OK after the beating and he lies he is perfectly fine, so she punches him in the stomach - for kissing her. LOL. But then she adds 'don't get hurt by people like this' and the quiver in her voice kills me. It clearly kills EO too.

Arang is clearly thinking about how little time she has left.

He brings her new clothes, because the old ones are bloody. Awwww. It's these little gestures that get her heart - it's being treated as a human. That is why her struggle not to fall for him is futile.

Arang's Breakfast Club moment. The way EO's face transforms when he sees her, as if he forgets to breathe. OMFG.

They are out for a stroll but his face totally changes when she brings up how little time she has left.

Worst Mother Ever! I am not even kidding, in all my years of watching kdramas, I've seen plenty of specimens of evil parenting, but nothing to compare with that. What kind of psycho leaves her dying toddler, as he crawls after her, crying her name and begging for water, just to take a glimpse at the man who ruined her family. As a mother of a toddler, I hate her hate her hate her. Too bad period Korea has no CPS.

The Jade Emperor appears! By that point, the poor kid has died. But the Jade Emperor restores his life while wiping his memory of this (I bet that's where his powers came from, and I also bet JE was his fighting teacher later, who gave him the pin (which must have some sort of special properties) and the demon-killing fan). So basically, both Arang and EO came back from the dead - so not really human? What worries me is that Jade Emperor says now EO's life doesn't belong to him and he has to repay it - does it mean that once EO fulfills what JE wants (to catch the demon - how did JE knew his Mom was going to turn into one? Hmmm), he will have to die? NOOOOOO!

He goes to find out talisman's at Lord Choi's and she wants him to be careful and she grabs his sleeve and his faaaace at that! And his grin at her!

This drama is such a delight! It's wonderful to see the chemistry, the writer who knows where the story is going, everything~
