Arang v. Faith poll

Both start next week, both are fusion fantasy period dramas which look and feel somewhat wuxia, both star popular actors with huge fanbases. So, why not a poll?

Lee Junki was first casted for Faith, but I'm not sure that they waited for him to be discharged from the military. Kang Jihwan had been casted after Lee Junki went to the military, but unfortunately he had to drop the project too. The drama that had been "rumored" to be made just for LJK in 2010 was a totally different story about a great male doctor practising traditional medicine (based on news reports that the production had held discussions with traditional medicine pracitioners) and that's why it was originally called "Great Doctor", and it was supposed to be the 1st kdrama shot in 3D. There was no mention of time travel or plastic surgeons in 2010.

LJK was offered several dramas after his discharge (no idea whether Faith was one of them), and based on what I read from Baidu, he was deliberating over Arang & an action thriller which has just ended (not Faith). Can't speculate about his reasons for choosing Arang, but based on his fan meetings schedule, it would have been difficult for him to fit the action thriller into his schedule due to the earlier broadcast date.

oh yea. I heard he had dropped out of a drama where he played as a doctor, but didn't know it was called Faith. But isn't the writer the same? because I heard the writer that made the Faith that was proposed to him is supposed to be a great one?

No, Song Jina, the current writer, only recently came on board. The original writer was someone else...
