I'm still rooting for Seok Hyun with everything in me. He is SO MESSED UP but he's still a fantastic guy in so many ways--just needs a therapist STAT. Ji Hoon is adorable and I am so worried he's going to get his heart broken, but when Lee Jin Wook comes on screen somehow I just can't care.

(As a bonus, last night I watched the episode of Strong Heart where both Lee Jin Wook and Kim Ji Suk are guests and they are adorable. There's a lot of focus on their friendship--apparently they have been best friends for ten years and go shopping and on trips together, and while all the other guests were teasing them about being a couple they were just really adorably straight-forward: "Yeah, he's my best friend, and I love him." Somehow it makes me more okay with Ji Hoon's heart getting broken if LJW and KJS are still best friends!)

I didn't realize just how much I wanted Yeol Mae to end up with Seok Hyun until I read the Soompi forums and people were convinced she would end up with Ji Hoon. My heart sank! Broody oppa is messed up, sure, but you can't take everything away from him! Clearly Yeol Mae is everything to him, and yes, he was an idiot. But if you didn't give Kdrama heroes their heroines because they were idiots, we'd never have an OTP!

Yeah, you know JH will never be lacking in wonderful girls he can go out with and fall for. Not so with SH. Plus, it's hard to compete with a 16-yr relationship.

I have a different take on SH - he is messed up as hell but he does genuinely love YM and, leaving aside any shippiness, they are very compatible as friends. But ultimately, I am not arguing that SH>>>JH as a dating choice in RL (even if he was a perfect man, possible genetic illness automatically disqualifies him from that label) but he is the one I like, root for etc. I think a lot of it goes with whether you like drama or health in your fictional relationships. I go for the former.
