A Gentleman's Dignity - eps 9 and 10 caps and a few thoughts

It's official - AGD is a sickness and I count days until I have another episode...

Note: I have no caps of the shoe scene because it made me too upset and :(

I love Do Jin and Yi Soo so much it should be illegal. The wicked wicked chemistry doesn't hurt.

The thing with the shoes was horrible and the outcome broke my heart (though I think Do Jin was entirely right to give up and be angry)

But I think, ultimately, it ended up being necessary for the relationship to be viable in the long term - if he didn't leave, she'd never realize she loved him because why would she - he was always there so there was no need for her to come to grips with her feelings or to realize she misses him. And the fact that this forced her to chase him (quite a contrast with her lack of agency with Tae San) makes them much more emotionally equal.

But until then, oh woobies, how they hurt!

The scene with Yoon and Maeri just killed me. The look on her face when she sees him run across the street. And how terrified he is for her and it transfers into anger (which is fed by the fact that he loves her but thinks he can't have her) and just make out already before I expire of the UST! I am not normally big on age difference in couples, but here it just works. Sure, Yoon is almost old enough to be her father, but they are so compatible it hurts (and if you have to go for an older dude, you can do way way worse than Kim Min Jong!) You know, a part of me wants Maeri to give up, to make Yoon chase - but you know he never will, so she just has to chisel at that wall of self-sacrifice the guy built around him, because he is so worth it.

God, that final scene! When she sends him a text (and she is so brave, to keep trying to contact him after rejection - but then he was so utterly emotionally open with her and deserves someone who is equally willing to put herself out there) and he doesn't find out until hours later and he comes and his face when he sees she left! Only then there she is. And his note - oh my God, his note - he is putting himself out there again, in part because her persistence wore down his new walls, but in part because he loves her so damn much. And then...she kisses the glass and his face and OMFG I need next week here!
