I luffs this show so much. It is hilarious and touching and sexy. I know many people think it's slow, especially in comparison to some of the other currently airing dramas, but I think it has charm in spades (much like I felt about Secret Garden as well). The bromance is adorable and cracks me up every time; my favorite parts are the opening flashbacks.
I did think it was weird to throw all this in about the memory thing in the 7th episode (and the information about his having been betrayed and broke, etc), but I'm willing to give the writer the benefit of the doubt. I don't think she'll go full on amnesia with it, but this losing one day thing is interesting. I'm hoping for a deeper meaning to the rest of the story.
I'm also ready for something to break in the kid looking for his father thing. I'm going with Do Jin being the father because it makes the most narrative sense (and the stories the other three shared about her in ep. 8 just confirmed that for me). And how much do I love that all four of them were in love with his mother? But I need some clues now!
Also, I really want to like Jung Rok's wife, but her character is so underdeveloped at this point. The preview for ep. 9 looks like we might get a bit more emotion out of her, so yay for that.
Sooo glad you are enjoying this as much as I am! I've just realized how sad it is to read blog posts that are critical of your currently airing baby, and this show is definitely my baby.
I adore this so much! This and very different Bridal Mask are my airing babies! I actually love the mellow vibe - I could spend forever with these people.
I don't think the betrayed and broke thing will come much (it makes sense if you go bankrupt, some employees with stab you in the back etc etc) but I am sure the memory thing will. I am just curious how - he has that pen so he can always recreate things.
Yeah, I am pretty sure Do Jin is the father. This will be interesting - for a man who wanted neither kid nor wife, he is on fast track acquiring both.
I thought maybe the betrayal thing was going to be a reference to Colin's mother, but the timing probably won't work on that. But...if Do Jin is the father, there has to be some major conflict between them (or a huge, giant, MISUNDERSTANDING, ugh). God, I wish I had waited to watch this so I could marathon!
Yeah, if DJ is the father, he'd have been one in his early 20s so the timing is off.
But I am sure there will be a giant something (and I agree, mere existence of Colin can't be it, because Yi Soo is not the type of woman to throw a fit someone had a kid decades before he met her). If for no other reason than DJ's ex told him she wished for YS to make him suffer and in dramas things like that always come true.
Mostly I'm thinking through process of elimination and what would make the most dramatic sense. Rok seems the most obvious, which means it's probably not him. Also, when they were sharing stories of their first love (whom I'm assuming is Colin's mom) he was bragging about his time with her and I'm think that points to his puppy love, but not a crushing love. Same for the other two, they bragged about their romance with her. Yoon is still hung up on his dead wife it seems, and conflicted by Meari so I doubt he needs another storyline, especially because that would be the wrong kind of drama if Maeri is hanging out with Colin, ew. Taesan seems the least likely, and where would the dramatic tension be if it were him? His big conflict seems to be Sera/Yisoo.
So, that leaves Dojin, who has a somewhat mysterious past and illness. In dramaland, that makes him IT in my book.
Thanks! I had just been going by what was obvious, but thinking about it, I can see how it might very well be DJ. For one thing, the loveline needs more conflict.
otoh, I can kind of see, with how they are all so invested in protecting him, it might be Rok. Can't wait to see what happens!

I like JR's wife, she is so amusing.
