Largely about Queen In Hyun's Man ep 15

OMG, you guys are so awesome! I've followed everyone I could find :) Now, I just need to figure out how to use the tumblr :P

In other news, I have not yet seen Bridal Mask ep 3, because in an act of supreme stupidity self-denial, I am waiting for my 720p to finish downloading so I can watch it in HD quality. Joo Won deserves no less :P

Instead, I've watched ep 14 of Queen In Hyun's Man and spent most of my time crying...Bong Do is pretty much insane - his plan was smart, brave, dark and suicidal. The guy has an overabundance of guts - he knew there wasn't much of a chance he'd survive (and zip chance of getting out pain-free) and he still proceeded. But then, that is the man who went back in early eps knowing he'd be tortured.

BD's insane plan involves this (also I am so glad to discover the King was in on it, because he was acting rather out-of-character in the execution scene and if he was for real, I'd have despised him):

I love that even before HJ learns of BD's death, she feels it (or his near-death, I must correct myself). Her grief killed me. Yoo Inna kicked this out of the ballpark.

Ouch, argh, BD! Stop using your body as a pincushion. Modern medicine isn't this good.

I love the juxtaposition between the grieving HJ and unconscious BD being wheeled in. You know it's my kind of drama when it puts the OTP through hell.

How much I loved it that BD showed up at Min Am's execution to show him who won. I love the set, cold look on his face - Min Am is the man who killed his family and you get that this isn't just about restoring the Queen for BD. It is about (fully justified) vengeance. BD is a good man by choice. He would be a terrifyingly effective bad guy if it wasn't for his morality - he has the brains, ruthlessness and utter fearlessness.

I just love these scenes...

OMG this scene. I bawled, literally bawled. She has some hope by now he's alive (long story) but no direct confirmation and then she comes home and sees...I love everything about this scene - the way he envelops her when they hug (the height difference is mangaish), the fact that he's crying because he really did his entire life behind, the way she cheers him up (the way she always does), everything...If the drama ends badly, I will always pretend ep 14 was the ending.
