So, I am on episode 3 of Mystery In The Palace, the period mystery/intrigue/romance cdrama and I am addicted!!! I wasn't that enthused by the first two eps which were backstory, but now I am in the story proper and eeeee!
I mean, how could I not love it if the OTP are potentially siblings and going to think they are for a chunk of the drama (I am spoiled so I know they are not) and their first meeting involves her bossing him around, not knowing he is a prince (she is a seamstress) and hugs and adorableness x 11. Plus, the male half of the OTP is Kevin Cheng, one of only two men I have seen who looks gorgeous in Qing get-up and hair (and I can view this as a consolation for BBJX as he gets to live and get the girl).
Plus, I realized I love the Qing aesthetic - the indoor furnishings, the gardens, the clothes, women's hairstyles.
So yes, super-addictive.
