Love Rain - episode 8

Perfection Perfection Perfection. Seriously, this drama owns me and might end up replacing Spring Waltz as my favorite romantic melodrama.

My favorite scene in this episode was the photo shoot. I loved everything about it - the way Jun instinctively knows that the way to get Hana to relax in front of the camera is not to have an audience, the way Hana looks simply luminous (no wonder he tells her she's pretty at the end), the way Jun looks not just smitten throughout but physically stunned by both her appeal and his reaction, and yet it doesn't even occur to him to try to control it because it is so natural for him. You can see him fall in love more and more with every shot. (Yoona and JGS have amazing chemistry and the way he smoulders at her ought to be illegal for my health).

It's such a rarity to a see a drama hero so unabashedly, instinctively gone on the girl who, herself, is not yet heart-touched (OK, the bit where his assistants went on and on how handsome he was and he was literally striking poses in front of her and almost preening, was awesome too).

I loved all their other scenes - the way he reminds her that he told her if she walked away, it's over and then adds "So let's end it. And start anew." (Oh Boy, you are such a goner!) And his adorably muddled explanation that he has to keep her around because he has no idea why he can't stop thinking about her, and that he'll be good to her.

Or when he invites himself to her apartment hunting and automatically screens any places with male neighbors and even though apartment-hunting is boring, he looks more animated and happier than we've seen him sans Hana ever.

And of course the final scene, the culmination of his being so emotionally off-kilter that he can't even tell what way is up, tracking her to her garden, striding towards her with ridiculously adorable determination, teeth gritted, and announcing that he doesn't dislike her, that "listen carefully because I am going to say it only once. I think...I like you," which is just such a darling puppy ridiculous adorable announcement I want to jump for glee (especially since earlier he tried to save his pride, when she was assuming he wanted to take back his promise to take care of her, by agreeing that is what it was). He is so stuck on her, and so clueless as to how to cope with it (due to dysfunctional family life and no examples), it just...sigh.

In Ha and Yoon Hee are slowly rediscovering each other, meanwhile - I love how different they are but no less moving. I do worry about Yoon Hee's health. Is she going blind? Is that the reason for pushing In Ha away? Grrrrr. I love that In Ha is fighting this time. Age has made him wiser.

Bonus mother and daughter. I love what a contrast their warm and loving relationship is to that Jun has with his parents.

I need more. Right now!
