Oh what pretty screencaps! Thanks for them!

And yes, somehow, things make sense. Joon is not who he is because drama law requires the guy to be a jerk with no trust in love and the gal to be cheery and bright to melt his icy cold heart. No. Joon is like that because of how he grew up. Like Hye Jung, I kept asking, "What happened to the tender-hearted, gentle In Ha of the old?" He's still a nice guy, but he feels so distant. I wonder how he and Hye Jung ended up married in the first place. Was it due to a night's folly? I simply cannot In Ha marrying someone he didn't love enough, whom he subsequent would have the heart to divorce. I'm really curious about the vacuum period of 30 years, and hope that there'll be space to elaborate abit, though not at the expense of Joon x Hana. They're cute, but hopefully their relationship would soon develop into a moving story like their parents' did. I'm hoping, against all odds though, that the scriptwriter won't pull a full melo cliche on us to have the young ones break off because of the older generation's love story. I can totally imagine Joon distancing himself from Hana when he finds out that her mother is the person who caused the breakup of his family. No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok, ep 8 here I come!

I don't know how he married her, but divorce made sense to me. You got the sense even in the 1970s, In Ha was a very contained person, not easily emotionally engaged (except with Yoon Hee). In an odd way, it's similar to Jun, even if Jun's issues/shields are different.

I found ep 8 quite gorgeous as far as Jun/Hana are concerned. This is moving quite fast.
