I don't think I could comment on your thoughts w/o spoiling future eps. so I'll just say that if that's what appeals to you about this drama and these characters (among other things, I'm sure), then you're going to LOOOOOVE what lies ahead. :)

I love that the contained, reserved, almost-withdrawn So Yi exposes herself to him the way she doesn't to any other human being, even though she barely knows him.

*clap, clap, clap* I loved that they used what's meant as a sign of boundaries and turned it into Soyi appealing from one person to another. And wouldn't have been as powerful if she could speak.

both of them have a foot in each world, neither fully fitting in either, and that is why they could fit together in a world of their own.

You could actually include Sejong here too. He's of that world, very much so, but he's an oddball too. And the complementarity btw these characters is quite something. They have this connection that comes from not only shared experiences but also personalities, but they're also very, very different, in their personalities and experiences. So when they interact, willingly or unwillingly, it often results in their opening eyes to 'the other side.'

I loved this whole comment.

And I agree, all three main characters compliment each other.
