Continuing with Dark Angel fun

I totally totally adore Alec, who has a Logan/Spike thing going. The whole unpredictable, snarky, might come through because of some remore conscience thing is appealing. The only thing missing is Alec angst ( Read more... )

I think I was swayed by his amazing pecs snark.

Hurrah for the Alec bandwagon! JA is like a bizarre, but welcomed, disease.

And Alec was a great character too. I adored Spike on BTVS in season 2 and Alec reminds me of that. Very amoral and sociopathic, but not all gone yet. There are still parts of him that make you think maybe there's hope. But then he goes back to normal. They were actually talking about spinning off a show for Alec at one point and they were also talking about pairing him with Max before FOX pulled the plug. FOX wanted them to go the Alec/Max way but Alba, Weatherly (who were going at it like bunnies at the time) and James Cameron wanted it to be Max/Logan.

Hmmmm...I watched this ep where he had to kill 3 people or get his head blown off and I liked it because he did try to do it but it was bothering him at the same time. Yay.

And the Alec angst, it's coming. Angst just isn't part of his character much simply because of his personality, but "Berrisford Agenda" brings the Alec brooding. Through season two you start to see him grow a bit of a conscience.

Brooding is good. I'll settle for brooding. I really liked the end of the ep I watched last night ("Proof of Purchase") because Max had to spend $$$ she was going to get herself cured to save Alec's life and he did feel horrible. I like the not complete sociopathy thing.

I would have liked to see Max and Alec together. I think they actually had a bit more chemistry than Max and Logan did. Which is weird, since apparently Jessica Alba and Michael Weatherby were engaged at the time. Maybe it's one of those things where they're less believable as a couple onscreen when you know they're a couple offscreen.

I must admit that I much prefer Logan/Max, not just because they are both idealistic, more compatible characters, but because their angst love thing definitely pushes all my buttons. Guuuuh, their love is so doomed. I love it. I like their chemistry too.

Alec and Max entertain me with their interactions, but I wouldn't like them as a couple (the same way Weevil and Logan (on VM) entertain me, but no coupling for them :P)
