This clip from "Vorvrashenya Mushketyorov" (Return of the Musketeers - apparently about Musketeer offspring) is from a movie made when I was already an adult, but it's pretty typical of movies of my childhood. I am kinda obsessed with the song (and the singer/actor Anton Makarsky, who was in Russian soap Bednaya Nastya, that I was obsessed with

My formative impression must have come from the 1975 Michel Strogoff production. The "Oh, Nadia" song still haunts me (though I remember it in the Finnish translation).

Thinking of the story, no wonder I like angsty love stories. :D

The blinding scene is forever etched in my memory.

Looks like it was a German production, which highly surprises me, probably filmed in Hungary, based on crew names.

Hah, in my childhood memories it was always a Russian series. But I must have been like 6-7 when it aired here. I only read the book when I was well past 10.
