Because I am watching too few dramas, apparently, I have started rewatching Secret Garden.
Oh God, so so so so frelling amazingly good still, even on rewatch (a lot of dramas don't hold up for me once the initial frenzy fades, but this one does, oh how it does!). It's still funny, off-kilter, romantic, quirky, with characters I adore.
I adore Ra Im's vulnerable toughness and Joo Won's neurotic persistence. I adore how they make me cry and giggle and swoon, usually in the same scene.
I am sure anyone who reads this LJ has figured out I am very picky with romance-heavy dramas - Secret Garden is the only romantic drama this entire year I uncomplicatedly loved. It helped that while it had comedic elements, it was also quite angsty/melodramatic and with fantasy elements. It helped but it wasn't the entire deal. It was just I fell in love with the characters.
Oh, and it gave me the year's favorite secondary OTP in the awesome Oska/Seul.
They made me giggle and ship their dysfunction and marvel at their ridiculous hotness. Many dramas that profess to be romantic don't even give me one OTP I can be whole-hearted about, but this one gave me two!
Have two Ra Im/Joo Won MVs:

Speaking of other romantic drama news, have a long (2+ min) The Princess' Man trailer, which is largely a combo of the two they released earlier but with some new stuff. Cannot wait! Romance Town, end already!

Oh, and last but not least, have a few caps from ep 1 of Myung Wol the Spy I took but didn't post elsewhere. Because the gorgeousness of Han Ye Seul and Eric must be shared. And because I have started shipping the second leads with each other - the duty-driven NK operative and a flighty actress? Yes pls.
