Happiness largely from eps 34 and 35 of Young Warriors

At last I get to this post :)

Well, this is from ep 31 but I just love the whole family united, facing evil Pan.

Why are you so adorable, Seven and his OTP?

I really loved this scene because this girl-talk is so every-day and oddly realistic and also because I like getting a bit on insight into Mr and Mrs 1, 2 and 3.

I sort of started making ungodly noises at the screen at this scene - because it comes right after the girls' talk and you can tell that, despite her pragmatism, Lady Doc was filling a bit wistful Four didn't do some big romantic gesture for her (I suppose bout to the death or volunteering to test poisons are't mainstream romantic gestures :P) and here he is! And I also love how relaxed and happy and comfortable Four is now - such a huge contrast from the damaged mess he when he first appeared.

I nearly died at his teasing and matchimaking Six. Heeeeee.

Meanwhile, this finally happens with Seven and his adorable OTP.

Ah, Six. The thing that strikes me so much and that hurts so much because I know how the story ends, is how many of the young warriors of the title (and their brides or prospective brides) are operating from the premise that they will have all the time in the world to do thing, work things out, be together. Especially Six and Seven. Six loves Princess Chai but he's in no hurry to get married, despite his brothers' gentle prodding and teasing because he knows she loves him too, so what's the hurry? He can always do it later, they can always get together later, and oooh, isn't there an exciting experiment to work on? And the same is true for Seven. He and his bride blithely put off their wedding night and he tells her he's going to come back for her. But all the Yangs are really like that - they are used to the notion of a just, reasonable world (Four wasn't like that at the start but now that he's been healed by the Yangs and their love, he's like that too, which is oh so horribly ironic because his past bleak outlook might have better prepared him). They have not even a suspicion of the world about to collapse in on them. Sure, the guys and their gals realize that being a Yang or a Yang bride carries some risks - they are in the military, after all - but they do not realize the magnitude of what can happen - and how can they? I found it both so fitting and so sad that when Six proposes to Princess Chai in the last episode, he tells her that he cannot guarantee her a long life together because of who he is, but he can guarantee her he will love her for whoever long they have. This is such a huge change from the fun boy of the episodes before the world fell in on them, and it makes me horribly sad to see him accept that knowledge of almost permanent imminent doom.

OK, I did not mean to ruin the mood. Sorry. Have some Seven and Eight cuteness.

And Six prettiness.

And some shippy.

Bachelor Party, Yang-style!

Four and Five get married!

Next morning, giving the greetings to the parents. Awwww.

I wish I could put them in a snow globe and keep them like this forever.
