yangs = chinese kennedy's: they all effing died.

I literally laughed at that. Yangs seem a lot more upright than some of the Kennedys though :P

Ugh, Pan family should all just diaf and emperor needs a brain transplant.

Re: JPLH. I can spoil you for the ending if you like. I believe 14 shows up and becomes love rival for Su Yan later. I want a drama just about him actually - he sound fascinating.

Re: Book and Sword. I thought LY and YY were an OTP and ended up together? Or did one of them die at the end or something? (I was reading the novel but got sidetracked and didn't finish).

I peeked at the end but I am pretty much blanking. I do remember that the flute-playing, cutting scholar was my fave so I am with you :) Btw, is there any particular drama version of it you'd rec? I know where to get the 2009 version (I think) with subs but are there others?

Whoa, that version of the story sounds insane and something I want to watch. What is it called? If there are no subs, I probably won't watch the entire thing but I am certainly game for various bits.

I am pretty intrigued by BBJX making Four the romantic lead (even though he's still supposed to be dark) because after JPLH all I can think of is "gtfo, psycho!" and even JPLH version sounds half-normal-person compared to the one you mentioned.

it's an ATV production in the 90's called Secret Battle of the Majesties. dunno how dated it would seem now, but fans still rave about it.

as for Book & Sword, i plan on watching 09 although i haven't. the only one i watched was 02. ZWZ's kungfu is awesome and i <3 my LYZ-YYT pairing.

now excuse me while i go squee over Dream High. i know you're off that train but i am soooo on it still.
