100% Perfect Girl - the prettiest manhwa I have ever seen

After posting on it, I started my reread of 100% Perfect Girl - it's dangerous to my sleep schedule - it's my favorite manhwa for a reason. It is also the prettiest one I have ever seen. I am currently in the middle of vol 5 and I bring you some really gorgeous pages from it.

Btw, in case you are curious about the story, it revolves around two very different "J"s - Jay Jin, a bubbly, warmhearted Korean art student and Jarte Max - a reserved, intense ruler of a small fictional European kingdom. Even though Jarte claims not to believe in the nuisance of love, it's love at first sight for him when he see Jay. He proposes and they get engaged - during the time of engagement Jay will have time and space to figure out if what she feels for Jarte is love or just attraction to his looks and status. The story would be about 2 volumes and the fluffiest thing ever, but throw in amnesia, evil mobsters, and more angst than in the entirety of a small city, and you got my fave manga of all time.

It is also the prettiest.

I love the way they draw the shippy scenes. It makes me swoon. Take this scene, for example.

I loathe the secondary guy, sexitimes mobster Luigi, but he gets some of the prettiest panels.

Awwwww, I approve of hero angst.

Taking advantage of amnesiac woman who confabulates you with her fiance is really sick but hey, the dude is a mobster, I believe his moral compass is permanently set to nil (side note - I am laughing so hard this time around at Luigi's much later brilliant plan to get Jay for herself - if she won't be with him because she loves her fiance, he'll scheme to have her fiance dump her - one problem with that plan though - Jarte is the most obsessive person in the universe about his OTP - he makes Ou Chen look laid back. So...Heh).

There are many ways to get interrupted in the middle but a commando raid led by the girl's pissed off, gone-off-the-deep-end fiance is probably least pleasant :)

I always wonder if manga heroes' brains are wired differently from normal humans - I mean, I really do not see how, in an already bad situation, a rape attempt makes things better - I mean, if she never remembers who he is, her big memory would be rapeytimes and if (as all the doctors say) she will remember the past - yeah, unless she is going to somehow lose memories of her amnesia time, she is going to remember 'this guy is my awesome fiance and I love him. Oh, and he raped me when I amnesiac' - seriously, yeah yeah, her amnesiac self doesn't remember you and hates you and you discovered her one teeny step from intercourse with her mobster boyfriend, but I fail to see how attempted rape would make it better. Anyway, I don't mind manga attempted rapes as long as they stop and then there is some wallowing, so 100% satisfies on that score. Go angst, pretty boy! Heeeee, I loved that Jay brained him. (I think it would have been hilarious if he got amnesia after that himself, LOL)

This gotta be confusing for poor pretty Jay.

I really really love the way they design their pages - so differently each time and somehow so fluid.

Or this little two-panel bit:

Say it with me - awwwwww.

Sadly, this manhwa has no explicit sex scenes. Oh, well, I gotta go with what we got :P Also, I totally forgot about this part and got so FRUSTRATED at the evil teasing last-minute interruption. It drives me as crazy as it did in Yang Kang and Mu Nianci's scene in LOCH2008 in early 20s eps and for the same reasons - you people are in love, engaged, and of age! WTF is wrong with you, dude, to insist on marriage first! Think of the audience, please.

This said, this panel always makes me laugh.

manhwa, 100% perfect girl, manga
