Easy Fortune Happy Life - the two heroes have already commited 6,487 illegal acts between them
I have to say, I admire the Secondary Girl's dedication to money - because she knows her boyfriend will inherit $$$ if he marries the heroine, she is totally giving him tips on how to woo her. Their plan is, of course, to have him marry her and then dump her as soon as $$$ is in is pocket. They are kinda awesomely amoral and can rule the world.
I am on ep 5 of Easy Fortune Happy Life and I am so gleeful over it - it's rather OTT but with underpinning of angst and a total manga set-up. I have to say, I totally adore the main OTP dynamic - because even before he knows she is his meal ticket, and just thinks she is this poor villager nuisance, she is the only person who gets underneath his "I am evil, cold, and supercilious and I love being so!" demeanor. He always grumbles and tries to protect the facade but he always ends up helping out and even doing the silliest things (she gets him to put on a party hat - that's a bigger deal than him taking her and her brother in when they have nowhere to go :P)
In real life, I have no desire to reform a jerk - too much work and the result is uncertain at best. But in fiction, there are few tropes I love than a rich woobie asshole with family issues reformed by the love of a poor plucky good-hearted girl.
One last comment before I go into screencap-land - Grandpa may be pretty pissed-off that his grandson is a cold-hearted, manipulative shark, but let's face it - he is the one who made him this way. Grandpa was quite a horrible person for most of his life (he totally left the kid to die because he didn't feel like paying ransom and didn't care when he managed to escape anyway, and I am not even talking about the con Grandpa pulled on Heroine's grandma) so I can see why Da Feng has no fuzzy family feelings. Just because Grandpa decided to reform and mellow in his old age doesn't really fix anything.
This is totally their interaction pattern - she comes looking for help, he is a total jerk who refuses at first and then actually ends up really helping, quite a lot.
But he totally hates being thanked because that would interfere with his internal image of "I am heartless and evil as it's the best thing to be" - guy views nice people as suckers so no way does he want to be one.
I love their little conversations which totally bring out their different upbringings. I think he really likes her (though not consciously, and not romantically yet) because she is genuinely nice and warm but also strong and, more than anything, dedicated to family - and she is the only such person in his life - his family are all horrid except for the cousin he despises for being weak, and his gf has ice water in her veins.
LOL, he fails at caretaking!
But, as per usual, grumle grumble but he does take good care of the kid when she is out and leaves her a really grumpy note :P

She makes a thank you dinner for him and he throws a hissy fit but ultimately...
Sitting with happy little family, he remembers when he was kidnapped as a kid and begged his grandpa to save him, but grandpa just told kidnappers he doesn't feel like wasting money and they can do what they like with the kid. Da Feng managed to escape to come home to discover nobody cared or even was thinking of the fact that he was kidnapped - Grandpa and the other branch of the family were having a happy dinner without any care in the world.
My issues, let me show you them :P
Seriously, I really like the dynamic - go warm up his grinch's heart, siblings! He is sort of failin at being evil here - you are slipping, Da Feng, giving food to urchins and worrying about their health :P

He realizes that the girl he put a hit on is Fu An and rushes off to the rescue - you would not be in this situation if you didn't hire the Mob for a contract murder!!!!!!!
Mob alreadt has Fu An, her brother and sexy Secondary Guy (long story).
He tries to cancel the job and mobster isn't going for it.
This would be a lot more touching if he WASN'T THE ONE WHO PUT HER IN DANGER IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!!! (Does she ever find out, I am curious).
I love secondary guy sfm - he knows exactly the kind of slimeball Da Feng is and warns him.
But siblings are oblivious.
