I have just finished Arya. So good! I giggled, I cried, I swooned!

I think my crush on Allu Arjun is getting out of all proportion (first I saw him as a sexy vigilante macking on a nun in Desamuduru and now this).

I think this was my favorite scene! It was almost kdrama levels of angst!

Let's sum up. Heroine's boyfriend had hideous mustache, blackmailed her into saying "I love you", was a self-absorbed, manipulative creep. And oh yeah, left her to be gangraped and killed because he didn't fancy fighting for her. In other words, dreamboat.

OTOH our hero was a stunningly attractive guy with a fun sense of humor who she was at ease with and had fun with, who worshipped the ground she walked on, would get her anything she wanted (even if that included another man), nursed her through being sick and abandoned by boyfriend, and oh yeah, rescued her from murdering and gangraping thugs. (Is it wrong to find him snapping Chief Thug's neck hot? Because it was hot.)

It was NOT a shocker the heroine realized she preferred the hero especially since she spent an idyllic week with him in an isolated rural spot being healed and nursed and petted and spoiled, while knowing he was lying to her about her bf coming back and that her bf actually abandoned her.

I also loved that unlike in many a Bollywood movie, there wasn't the idiotic issue of "we love each other and the interloper is a loser extraordinaire but I have to marry him because there is elders' blessings/he has to let me go." Nah, the girl just said "I want Arya" during the ceremony and ran out. SQUEE.

Also, Allu Arjun is an AMAZING dancer. The train song made my eyes pop out of my head.

This also inspired me to make a few Desamuduru icons :)

I bet that is the most action a nun ever got! But then that was the movie where bad guy married heroine over corpses of her parents so they weren't exactly going for understated there.
