1. I am following 4 dramas this season. That's insane! Previously, the most I have done is 2.

2. Look what we get in today's ep of Cinderella Unni:

the one that has best ratings is Birth of the Rich which is the only one nobody I know is watching

Apparently there is a big split on mon-tue, with only small difference between the drama ratings with Dong Yi and JAjoongwon. I expect Dong Yi will be sweeping ratings as soon as they are out of the childhood backstory, though. Isn't "the birth of the rich" something to do with money? Isn't it like "War of money" without it's soul?

me? I think the lead guy is to ugly. :D

BotR is about a guy who looks for his (rich) father, meets stingy heiress. Apparently the drama has moneymaking tips (huh? who wants to take moneymaking tips from a drama?).

From what I understand, War of Money was a heavy, serious drama. BotR is a light comedy.

I actually enjoyed the first ep of BotR and plan to pick it up again once slate clears (apparently there were a few eps which were not so good but then it picked up again). It didn't really grab me though.

I liked "War of Money", actually out of Park Shin Yang dramas this might be the best thing for you - really plotty , lots of psychology, gangstas, etc. The secondary guy from "Pick the Stars" was in it,in a really good way.

I plan to watch WoM one of these days - I saw the kissing scene on youtube :)

But I think I first will watch Lovers in Paris. I already have the dvds, I love the actress, and want some romance. Plus, you explained the ending.

I'm a ridiculously happy camper. I'm pretty sure I missed some scenes, but the whole drunk Ki Hoon and caring Eun Jo just sent me into a tizzy.

drunk Ki Hoon and caring Eun Jo

It's like they know what I want and give it to me before I even know I want it.

If you think about it, it's huge for her to come into his room - what with her issues with men and especially the fact he is drunk.

EEEEEEEEE

Ugh... chaste kisses. I hope at least one of the other airing dramas (Cinderella Unni, Prosecuter Princess or Personal Taste) has a real kiss.

I'm also following four kdramas! The three mentioned above plus Dong Yi.

And that's excluding the jdramas I will following, 'cause they haven't started yet. (Tsuki no Koibito and Yankee-kun to Megane-chan... and one with Ueno Juri, forgot the name)

It wasn't "too" chaste by kdrama standards - their mouths moved a little bit :) Seeing he's in a boyband, any more than that and fangirls would be committing suicides in droves :P.

My money (for sexy kissing) is on Personal Taste - if they are risque enough to make blowjob jokes, they can have normal kissing. (OMG, I looooove heroine's friend who is basically a slash fangirl ecstatic over being able to 'listen in' to two guys making out. LOLOLLOL).

LOL!! The heroine's BF is awesome!

Oh, sorry.. I just commented based on the picture. Well, if they moved their mouth a bit, then it's okay I guess... unlike the kisses in You're Beautiful, where they barely touched lips.

The funny difference between korean fans and western fans is that we'd love to see our idol get some action, so we can drool more. LOL

Yup, I am all 'bring on the sex scenes!' Lee Min Ho, make a movie.

They moved it a liiiitle - don't get your hopes TOO up - they are both drunk out of their minds.

Ahhh, teen dramas and their emphasis on cold fish kissing (I will never forget the BOF bts with the director yelling at Lee Min Ho to close and stop moving his mouth in the kissing scenes). What, are they afraid the Korean youth will run out inspired by the bad example and make out all over the place?

I've found best kdrama kissing is in dramas with over 30s leads and/or action/revenge stories - I suppose since these are supposed to be definitely for grownups.

Guess I'll be watching Oh My Lady too.... Sigh. On the other hand, I've managed to clear the slate a bit so only few more halfway through things to watch. The rest can bloody well wait! ;)

OML is soooo hilarious and tongue-in-cheek.

I only have Swallow the Sun that I am watching non-airing. No time for anything else :)

I'm loving Cinderella's Unni! I know things will get worse before they get better, but. . . I can't wait for more - even if it's all drama and a mess.

Re: the caning - does he cane HS too? I wonder. . . The preview makes it seem like HS and EJ really start to dislike each other tomorrow. Or rather, HS starts to really dislike EJ for the "stealing" of the boy she likes, getting her in trouble with the dad, etc. Mmm...

I actually like that HS dislikes EJ - it's too weird/clueless/saintly for her to be all happy with the whole thing.

I agree in a way. HS getting angry at EJ is really good. Yes, that boy wasn't her boyfriend, but it's natural for a teenage girl to get angry at another girl for "stealing" the boy she likes. It's also natural for HS - whose been the apple of her father's eye for nine/ten years - to get jealous and angry that EJ is taking away some of dad's attention. I just hope those aren't the only reasons HS hates EJ throughout the years. Not that I want EJ to do something awful, because I don't. I just don't want a drama where a character spends three/four years pissed at someone because that someone "stole affection" from them. (This goes for both HS and EJ)

I think 'stealing affection' bitterness can be pretty lastign and damaging though so I don't mind if that's their reason.
