You know, I have just finished watching eps 16 and 17 of Next Stop Happiness and my crush on Guan Xi is so freaking huge! How much do I love having a grown-up for a hero? Oddly, it's not the Guan Xi/Mu Chen interactions that got me so swoony (though their slow rapproachment is wonderful to see - especially since his knowing why she left 6 years ago ( Read more... )

I really would like to read up on it. Just why is it acceptable on your tv shows despite the fact that they rarely even so much as kiss?

That is so bizarre. I was in Thailand and didn't see any crazed rapists running around the streets :)

I think maybe it's similar to 1910s-20s in US/Western Europe. There were TONS of hugely popular novels, written by women, in which heroine got raped by hunky hero. I think this was a way to get around the fact that a woman that pure shouldn't enjoy sex, a sort of 'I didn't have a choice, he forced me, so I am ok.'

Hurray, I am so glad you are still liking AC! I WORD everything you said about GX...about how absolutely awesome he is, and how he's handling the situation!

Though despite his feelings for MC is rekindling, I still hope the he finds out the truth. I think MC at least deserve that.

Next ep is going to be a gem...seeing MC being jealous and all! Can't wait!

Please let me know when you do start watching Family of Honor (Park Si Hoo), coz I'd love to see if you'll like him & his leading lady as much as FH fans do!

I thought people on viikii who commented that this episode was boring were just plain crazy. I loved every minute of the show!
By the way how is The Rose faring in your viewing marathon?

Yeah, I didn't think it was boring at all - it was lovely to see them interact without all the crazy drama.

I haven't gotten much further into The Rose - the bizarre hair and the $5 productiin values are not too exciting. I've been watching The Vineyard Man instead - it's fun in a lowkey way.

Mars is wonderful. I also rec Black & White and The Outsiders. They make too many OTT funny ones.
