This drama gives me what I crave before I know I even crave it. Here is Jo Gook going postal on some goons hired by opposition to intimidate Mi Rae and pelting her with vegetables.
He is her cynical political advisor, pushing her for Mayor for murky reasons which aren't even entirely understood by himself. She is a small-town idealist for clean government. She might not have been elected except for his less-than-savory methods that he keeps secret from her, but she definitely would not have been elected if she didn't reject his hardball, uncaring politics and acted from her heart. And every time she rejects his attempts to turn her into a machine politician, he falls for her just a bit more.
