I feel such overwhelming, blistering hate for Secondary Girl. When she triumphs at hero who has been dumped by the heroine* that now he knows "how it feels to have a loved one turn away from you bwahahahahaaaa" (paraphrase mine :D), I really want to explain that the hero, despite clear yet unfulfilled mad necessity for prozac and other drugs, hasn't decided to turn into a crazy stalker and force the girl he loves into a relationship with him despite her wishes. Nor is he busy gloating when he sees her in pain. Maybe the hero would take her feelings into account more (as she whines about non-stop) if she wasn't a scary raving psycho busy sharing that pain with others tenfold. Oh, and when she informs him they are getting married and "I don't remember asking for your input, sucker" (once again, paraphrase mine :D) despite hero's repeated statements to her he'd rather be dead in a ditch...GRRRR. Just this once, I wanted him to hit her. I would have crippled her for life. (WTF with his evil adopted parents and psycho bitch all treating him as a thing with no volition of his own? He hasn't been particularly meek before either, so I have no idea why they think he will obey this time. Heck, Secondary Girl's sole weapon in not having him completelt blow up was to say she will reveal the truth to Eun Young but guess what...EY knows and so the threat is gone).
* Man, the break-up scene was killer. When she tells him she can never forgive him and walks off and he collapses on the floor, gracelessly. (Yet, I don't think he is surprised. Huge points to him planning to tell her despite the fact that I am sure he feared exactly this reaction on her part). Or the bit before when they are on the phone in the rain and he is pleading with her to keep holding his hand...awwww, woobies. Or earlier, when he is so happy to see her back and she just cuts him dead. Or the piano scene. Such a twisted parallel to the earlier romantic one. Woobies!
I confess that I liked SW better before every main character took to running around the streets of Seoul weeping in turn - I want to see my OTP being adorable, not the sodden misery, darnit. I think I am too invested. (I hasten to add I still adore the drama).
To end: Jae Ha and the little kid are so adorable. Mmmm. (((poor Jae Ha)))
I can't wait to see what horrible things Secondary Girl will come up with next. Please, someone, let me know of another drama in addition to Que Sera Sera where when Secondary Girl gets insane, the heroine (or hero, I am not picky) puts her down in the way the gal deserves. I guess Legend sort of counts and so does Princess Jae Myung as they fight to the death. (Though I bet Slingshot doesn't have a secondary girl for a reason, PSY's character would eat her for brunch and spit out the bones).
ETA: Daniel Henney is very pretty but oh so horrifically bland and lacking in acting ability or on-screen charisma. Why must such a handsome guy be such a human tree? Alas...
Oh well, he makes the hero look like Lawrence Olivier so I am all for it :P
