Japanese Photographs, part the last

Sep 17, 2008 17:11

Yes, it took me forever to upload all my Japanese photographs (2 years!!!) but finally it's done! (For past entries go here.

This last batch has photographs from Kyoto, Himeji, and Tokyo.

Seeing that I posted my Thailand photos already, either Singapore or Argentina are next.

Random street in Kyoto:

And a very peaceful garden:

Himeji:

The famous castle:

(yes, those are shoes)

The view from the top of the castle:

It was a day trip and we are back to Kyoto at night:

And next day, back to the bustle of Tokyo:

You can see some weird things in Asakusa :)

We went to the sumo area (blanking on the name) and were too late for a match but saw some wrestlers, and a bunch of their admirers:

Yup, you couldn't escape KAT-TUn anywhere :)

Yup, sumo everywhere:

Including on the tiles of the metro station:

Views from Tokyo Tower:

Shibuya at night:

And time for people to head home:

We went to the baths at night and I didn't take any pictures, for obvious reasons (it was awesome btw, even if I did get stared at as the only non-Japanese lady there) but this promo for Sapuri was on the train going there :)

Some last sights of Tokyo:
